Instead of Bondo, just drill a slightly bigger hole and glue in a wooden dowel that fits the hole. Learnt it from another video. Seems less messy and maintains the look of wood

Another technique I have used is to drill out the hole, cut off a piece of dowel, cover with glue, and gently pound it into the hole. Let the glue set for about an hour, re-drill the hole and screw the screw in.

I successfully rehabilitated stripped door hinge screw holes by injecting hot-melt glue into the hole and ramming the screw back in before the glue cools. No need to turn the screw with a screwdriver, just push in the screw and the glue sticks to the wood and flows around the screw threads to grip it.

Drill out the hole to a larger hold then get a wood dowel rod and and glue it into the hole. After it's dried, cut the dowel rod flush on both sides and you and new wood to screw into.

Another quick and effective option is to drill larger holes and then get some wooden dowels that are the same size as those holes. Put some PVA wood glue around the dowels and then hammer them into the holes. You can then drill new holes.

Sir, your anchor bolt suggestion for door hinges is brilliant. I was having the exact problem and using anchor bolts did the trick perfectly. I owe you a beer. 😎
