I think in modern The Simpsons episodes Bender is still supposed to be living in there basement and mostly unconscious until the future. I wondered if it was a nice link between the two shows in case Futurama gets cancelled again, to keep the characters alive.

And just for fun, I also calculated the time between the two episodes, which is 1 month and 22 days apart.

And... It's hard to figure out where Springfield is on purpose.
