    Hi. Great video. We replaced the head on our VS640i and after a couple of head cleans we are missing white and one of the magentas on the nozzle check. The other colours look great but we're not sure what to do next. We changed the head the dampers and the cap as we bought a kit. Thanks

    Hello. Thanks for the video - very helpful. We just replaced one of the print heads on one of our XR640s. I failed to save the packaging and don't have the head serial number. However, I did take photos of the head and there are numbers on it. Is the serial number on the actual print head? Just curious. If not, is there another solution or work around for this issue? Thanks in advance. ~Tim

    Great video and very appreciated. I have a VS-540 6-color and I'm missing my Black Channel completely and most of my Yellow Channel. I also noticed that the black ink tube is not filling up when doing cleanings. It is empty about 3" before the damper. The head was replaced two years ago but we haven't been using it very much lately. Does this sound like a damper replacement job to fix the black or is the printhead bad? I did an overnight soak and no improvements. I also checked under the Ink cartridges and the inside of the machine is clean.

    • @reprint217
      @reprint217  Před rokem

      Bleach and magic eraser works best. If ink has actually etched itself in. Than I use headlight restoration kit and sand and polish

    what do you think is happening after cleaning the printer and trying to fill the nozzles but no ink is pumping through

    • @reprint217

      Clog somewhere. Clogged pump, head, captop, dried up ink lines. Lots of variables

    Do you know which Printhead this Mimaki Model CJV150-130 uses?

    • @reprint217
      @reprint217  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Yes, I actually have a brand new one with the head memory board for sale. It's a DX7 . You can use cheaper DX7 heads, i.e., Roland DX7. However, the oem printhead has a head rank memory board that can be pretty important. The head rank provides info for proper voltage and firing. Most of the time, the old head rank can allow the printer to print properly, just not optimum. But every now and then, I've seen cases of electrical issues from improper head voltage. So it's best to stick with oem. I think there is about a $500.00 difference between the Roland Version and Mimaki version. I have one left for $1500.00, and it is the oem brand new with head cables and memory board

      I joined the forum sign101 which i read alot of users seems to prefer Mimaki printers over Roland, and Mimaki cjv150 some still use theirs for over 6 years and still going strong. From what i read from your comments it seems DX7s print differ between both printers and their prices as well. Am thinking of replacing my roland xr640 for a mimaki 150 model, as new roland printer has many issue from what i read. Thank you for your advice

    great video! I'm having some problems after installing the print head. so 4 out of my 7 colors work and three don't want to print. every time I do a test print it doesn't show the three colors but it will fully show the other 4. I'm wondering if I did something wrong during the process or if there is just some other under lying issue that I don't know. if it helps, we have a vs-540i

    I'm facing problems after i replaced to the new head and dampers that when doing an testprint - theres nothing printing..
    I can see when i do the cleanings that the ink is flowing through the head - captop and to the waste tank. But when printing - there's nothing.
    Do you maybe know what it could be?

    Hello friend! thanks for the help. I have a problem. after replacing the head, damper, captop and pump, ink is not coming out of the head, nothing is coming out. I've tried many things, and so far nothing. Would you help me ? What can it be ?

    • @reprint217
      @reprint217  Před rokem

      Ok, so nothing is coming out into waste tank or nothing printing?
      If its not pumping first thing I would check is captop. There is 3 connectors on bottom of captop. 2 should have lines coming off of them, the 3rd should be capped off! Ive seen instances where the cap comes off the third. Please check

    • @reprint217
      @reprint217  Před 6 měsíci

      It is best to input the actual headrank, but most usually work fine with old headrank but have seen overspray in certain channels and odd electrical problems if headrank is not correct.
