    I bought this pack last month because I love your videos, I've been learning new things thanks to you. So, after +200, will we still get free presets updates? That could be awesome. Thanks again and happy new year!

      Thanks! I doubt I'll keep adding to the pack after 200. If I'm still recreating sounds, I'll most likely start a volume 2. Right now, I'm working on a new pack called "Ear Candy" that should be releasing soon. I'll be making tutorials on a few of those sounds next.

    thank you for the tutorial. maybe make the basic vital tutorial so i can understand "why you do this and that." i want to give my own twist for this kind of sound

      That's good feedback. I'll try to make it more clear what our goal is for each step of the process in new videos. This sound is basically 2 sine waves 31 semitones apart going through distortion. That distortion is what adds in the extra harmonics. The tremolo (LFO 1 -> Osc 2 level) pushes the sound harder through the distortion, giving the sense that our sound is pushing against a barrier, like Brian Eno mentioned in the quote at 1:04. The equalizers tame the sound a bit by cutting out unwanted frequencies, including the sub frequency. We add the sub frequency back in with osc 3, bypassing any effects so that the sub stays at the same volume (no tremolo) and doesn't get an reverb (this clutters the mix).
      To customize the sound you could play with the macros for a different balance. You could turn up the volume on osc 1 to get more distortion from that frequency. You can also change the wavetable position of osc 2 so that the higher sine wave is at a different harmonic/partial. You could also raise the cutoff of the post-eq on the distortion module for a brighter sound. I hope this helps!

    Do the vital effects goes from top to bottom or the opposite?

    I think the WT issue is fixed in Vital 1.55. At least for me on W10 Vital in reaper ... which version are you on? Oh and thank you for the how to update info. Your presets and tutorials are killing!

      I'm on the same version. If you choose "none" in the wavetable blend options, does the wavetable snap from keyframe to keyframe for the factory harmonic series?

    • @hankbogus4733
      @hankbogus4733 Před rokem

      @@EricBowman No it does not. It is going from frame to frame. Like all the other wavetables. It seems to be different with the basic shapes tables - but if you look closer it is not. In other words basic shapes seems to jump from keyframe to keyframe but it doesn 't. In contrast to the harmonic series wt the frames between two keyframes are all the same. The "morph frames" in the harmonic series wt are part of the wt itself. If you want it to behave like the basic shapes wt you 'd have to copy the shape from keyframe 1 to all frames between keyframe 1 and keyframe 2. Then shape from keyframe 2 to all frames between keyframe 2 and keyframe 2. And so on ...
