@@Flyhighcg As an European Asian, that made me sad. Though I can say yes and no to that lol. They take pride in their culture and food, but often have an affinity to foreign foods. Like the Dutch made Indonesian food part of their culture... (Yeah the country they colonised) Unless you got some people who only grew up on meat and potatoes and refuse anything beyond black pepper and paprika powder 😡 I can’t get along with them.

I used to work as a book illustrator in an office near Sugbo Mercado before COVID swept the planet. This was such a great spot to hang out in with friends and just splurge on food every time the stalls are open, which is normally at night on a Thursday I think. God the options you had here are super good. Thank you for enjoying our food.

Try the etag in the Cordillera region here in the Philippines, somewhere in Mt. Province, Ifugao, or Benguet. It's a traditional food, basically cured and aged pork meat preserved in salt and by smoking or drying under the sun. It's also a good way to experience the culture of the people, wearing the bahag, the traditional dance, the feast practices, etc.
