      NOT THE SAME. 2001 Jetta heater core is a lot of labor 6+ hours labor. You have to remove the dashboard. Its located in the hvac box. You have to remove the center console. For the model I'm working is is 2009 and up.

    It fix your heater i have the same problem my heater blower cool air on the vents

      If you've replaced the heater core already and still not blowing hot air. Double check for coolant leak and make sure the cooling system is completely air bleed and enough coolant in the system. If everything is good, and still no heat. Check the "hot and cold" blend door motor, make sure it's working properly.

    What year is this? Is this a B6 B7 or B8?

    You should’ve removed the hoses in the engine bay and loosen the 6mm bolt that holds them then shoot air through the heater core to get most of water out then remove hoses from inside …hence no money shot ! You also won’t have to loosen that metal bracket ..
