The KLM IL-62 was owned by Aeroflot, but leased to KLM. This only lasted for a few months, but it is remarkable this happened, right in the middle of the cold war. KLM (and most western airlines) were not able to fly through Soviet airspace, and most Asian destinations were reached via the west (via Anchorage). This unusual collaboration helped KLM to fly via Moscow.
