    I absolutely love how you don't cut your videos. I like seeing the raw interactions. You're very good in chaotic situations.

      Lol oh thank you Barbara! Yes I really don't like cutting my videos either, raw footage is so much more authentic! But sometimes the videos are too long and parts can be boring, people have such short attention spans these days! 😅This restaurant is so delicious, and I found out they just recently closed! So sad about that because I loved this place and went here pretty often! I heard it was something about the visas for some of their Lebanese workers or something like that, but who knows really why they were shut down. Sucks ☹☹

    I love your confidence! Egyptians are so friendly and helpful. I just returned from Egypt a month ago. I really miss it and want to go back. Keep making these awesome vids.

      I know the feeling, it's why I never ended up leaving. I was only supposed to travel for 3 months and then continue my journey, but I didn't want to go and ended up staying, still here 2 years later 😆 Thanks so much for your support!

    We love downtown although our first time we had no time to discover it. We already have our tickets for February 😊. Lovely video as always. Greetings from Greece

    Egypt's answer to the taco, burrito, enchilada, tamale, torta, and chimichangas. 😉 Are avocados popular or available? Maybe you can introduce guacamole to the country. 😋

    • @Gventures
      @Gventures  Před 22 hodinami

      They don't have corn chips 😭 No corn tortillas, no corn chips, no tortilla chips. I manage to find corn chips every once in a blue moon at expensive foreign stores, but they are not always there, and beyond that they are very expensive (and a number of times that I did buy them, they were old and expired!). But yeah they do have avocados, although I don't know what's up with them here. They are either too ripe or just rotten. I swear. Every time I buy them they are too ripe. So I wait, and check them every day. And every time, they are hard one day where it's like cutting the outer layer of a watermelon, and brown mush the next morning.

    At 11:30 the tall guy in the grey cap is very interested in her. He eventually approaches. His accent is American. He asked to chat with her off camera. Wonder how that interaction off camera turned out.

    • @Gventures
      @Gventures  Před 2 lety +9

      I didn't actually talk with him, my friends came by (you saw me hugging them) and I went and got coffee with them after I finished the video. 😁 Honestly thought it was pretty rude and pushy of that guy to linger around, hovering and trying to talk to me right in the middle of me filming. He could see what I was doing and carried on anyway. Annoying.

      Hahaha it's fine, most people are friendly (both men and women). Some of the men are a bit too friendly, but that is also the case pretty much all over the world. As a woman, and experiencing situations like this my entire life, you learn how to deal with it😄

    • @Gventures
      @Gventures  Před 2 lety

      Ahahaha, well it's not exactly hot and especially at night, but I have been here for 4 months and have acclimated to the temperature, so it feels colder to me than if I came directly from a very cold country with snow. For example its 8am here right now and the temperature is 15c. So it's not that bad 😅
