- Tallulah Gorge State Park is located in Tallulah Falls, Georgia (Rabun County). This 2,739-acre is best known for the Beautiful Gorge it protects. It's 2 miles long and almost 1,000 ft deep at its deepest point. This gorge has even been tight roped walked across twice. The most recent was in 1970 by Karl Wallenda (Nik Wallenda's Great Grandfather) This park has hiking, biking, waterfalls, swimming, rock climbing, camping, geocaching, white water rafting and so much more. A MUST SEE if your ever in the North Georgia area!

The bridge has a beautiful view but is scary at the same time when you are walking across 😆. There are a lot of things to do at this park and I would love to camp there 🏕. Thanks for sharing 👍🏽

Great tip, regarding the permits to be able to hike down into the gorge 👍 Some great views from the overlooks and the bridge, though (even if it was a little shaky)! And what an excellent time to visit, with all those wildflowers 🙂

Tallulah Gorge is beautiful! I love the waterfalls and seeing the rock walls that form the side of the gorge. I hate suspension bridges though. I don't like heights to begin with but add to that the swaying and shaking of the bridge and it does a number on my senses. But you did get some beautiful views from up there. Thanks for taking us along to Tallulah Gorge State Park!

Oo Melissa that was great and it seemed like there was a lot to do there . I liked the walkways and viewpoints and moving bridge that your son ran over, our kids wouldn't do that to me but Alf would 😄Can see why you said its one of the most beautiful gorges, it's stunning and the waterfalls were amazing. Another lovely state park! Wow! Those falls are so pretty. 1000 feet deep?! Wow! Lots of history too! Beautiful flowers. Beautiful overlooks into the gorge! That suspension bridge is both absolutely amazing and absolutely terrifying all at once haha. My legs would be jello lol! But such amazing views!!! Wow! The color of the water is incredible.
