Tying an One Feather Nymph - a CDC nymph for trout and grayling

  • Just added on my blog a few words about this fly:

    The fly is very simple and like simple things is very efficient too. I tested several times on different rivers from North Italy to up in Lapland. The fly works great for trout and grayling and the color combination can vary depending of the local colors and patterns.
    Materials used:
    *Demmon Competition ST300 Jig Hook #12-16
    *Thread:yellow or white underbody
    *Ribbing: Hot orange thread
    *Tail: Coq de Leon
    *Body: One natural cream CDC feather
    *Hackle/Thorax: cream cdc barbs

      Thanks !use different colors for cdc, light cream, light olive and brown too. Are super efficient :)
