Im goint to try this. I got massively depressed/low motivation after quitting drinking
I'm a recovering heroin addict and know how the brain stops making it's own dopamine when you're flooding it with opiates and it takes months before your brain starts working to make normal levels of dopamine again. My question is this bean gonna flood my brain with dopamine and if so why wouldn't your brain stop making it's own dopamine like it does with alcohol and opiates? I'm thinking it must be extremely mild and so the brain will continue to make it's own dopamine and this bean nudges it along speeding up the process to reach a normal healthy level of dopamine? Need to know because I'm interested in buying this product.
Dopamine precursors are in protein foods too. Nutrition and brain supplements help with addiction they don't cause dopamine monopolies like alcohol, opioids, or other addictive powerful substances.
You pose a great question. I was on H and C (speedballing for years), as well as alcohol, coke, meth, etc. Long-term anhedonia is something I have to cope with. I'm talking about the better part of 40 years of substance abuse disorder (addiction). Even though I've been clean for quite a while, eat real food (no added sugar(s), no processed food, etc.), and have a solid exercise routine, I'm pretty sure there's some irreversible damage. Hopefully (and doubtfully), you didn't get after it as hard or for as long as I did, and getting a good healthy lifestyle going will reverse the issues caused by H and whatever else. Dr. Huberman talks a lot about neuroplasticity as it relates to many aspects of life. Dr. Robert Lustig is an incredible source of information on metabolic processes and how food impacts our overall metabolic health. I can't speak to Mucana Puriens at this point. All the best to you.
I don't have an answer but it could be something as simple as duration (Ativan vs valium half life in the blood ) or something more complex like a simultaneous augmenting of the bodies process while supplementing the deficiency.
Good question 👍

Great content.
Am a new subscriber.
Did you already make a video about the plant Iboga which can also help addicts?
Thank you and greetings to Papaya and you from Germany.
'Matt GPT' :P Thanks for the video.
Where do you buy it
I read on amazon... a few people had harsh reactions to it.. just a heads up
Thank you. You are funny, too.
Can this be used for mental illness?
If this works, youv'e saved my life and everyone else i care to tell 👍🙏
Well, I found this bean from watching Chris' vid on 20 supplements to help with alcohol recovery..
He said that Mucuna got him off of like 15 cups of coffee a day... that he was on, among other things, while quitting the high quantities of alcohol he was on.
It did not get me off of Caffeine, but if I wanted to ditch it altogether, I would be able to.
It did not prevent the headaches, but gave me dopamine and adrenal support. 🎯👍👍🍀
Umm.. You should be careful, when using these supps together... Especially, if you use Caffeine...
To much of these precursers can make you crash after your heavy morning coffee rush..
Thx to Chris and Fit Recovery vids, I have played with Mucuna and DLPA for over three years, now..
Read the precautions on the labels.
As far as I can tell, the agitation or anxiety side effects are much worse if you use Caffeine or other stimulants, making them act more like Meth...
Why?? Because you have a full supply of adrenal chemicals and dopamine, which are increased in your system with stimulants.
People tend to use Caffeine to feel better, when lacking energy.
Be careful.
Mucuna. One capsule is a good starting place per day. Maybe two, if it goes well.
Am surprised he does not mention Seratonin syndrome on this one... just higher doses of supps.
Not safe for everyone.
Chris knows this.
@@bubblerings Thanks for the info!... I'll be careful with it 👍

same here; you get very dissapointed when every herb is touted as the best thing. I've tried all natural things for anxiety and ADHD
@@lauraestes9304 I did try it and didn't notice any difference.
1. It gets digested before it gets to your brain unless you take special drugs with it (they say egcg from green tea works too but I didn't notice that)
2. I think you must be terribly defficient in order to feel the difference - they actually use it as a drug for Parkinson's.
The channel obviously makes money from advertising it, I suspect they know it doesn't work, otherwise it would be a common prescription or recommendation. Despicable really.
Your voice is very familiar 🤔🤔
Hi Matt, would Makuna create dependency? When is the body able to generate its own dopamine without Makuna?
AI telling us it's not AI. Suspect
Good shout
What about opiates
Is coffee ok? I understand it apikes dopamine too.
Kofein is a stimulans, You dont what that compound near Your metabolism to much.
@fitrecovery Matt I'm pretty sure you're not artificial intelligence. It seems like you are pretty intelligent for real. (◠‿◕)
I really like this video, it is quite a fresh new take on a fit recovery video. Extremely well done brother......

AI would say it's not AI 😂
Maybe your not AI, but maybe an alien from another dimension 🤔
Alcohol activates Gaba no much in dopamine. Gaba is the one that gives euphoria, not so much dopamine.
To be fair...if you were controlled by AI, you would not have knowledge of it.
idk man i got a feeling your lying this is definitely ai
What a crock of bullshit 😂
I've lost faith in supplements, they are not fda approved!
The fda is not to trust
😂😂😂
whaaat?????…..the FDA is CRIMINAL!!! if you didn’t know that…YOU DO NOW!!!!!
Sir you know absolutely nothing about alcoholism- your advice can hurt or kill people- please do more research on what alcoholism is
You will find that he knows rather a lot about alcoholism if you do a little research.
Yes bad take
If it sounds too good to be true, most likely it is. I tried this sort of therapy to quit drinking in 2005 and 2006. Fast forward almost 20 years and I finally have around 3 years of sobriety. There is no magical cure that will make it easy for an alcoholic to quit drinking.
They are not claiming it's a magic pill. They are offering different strategies and options to try and make the journey a little easier.
