    Good Information, Everything you said was spot on. Ive been using my Stealth for about 3 years. My lessons learned; Get the transmitter up as high as you can, maybe even speaker tripod height. Change the channels when you get drop outs and interference. I change channels after every gig. Keep the the antennas just like in the picture on the box when in use.. looking forward to the Stealth Pro coming out in 10 years.,.,LOL.. Thanks again.

    I usually run two active speakers. Occasionally I add a powered sub to the equation. How does that change the placement or set up for the transmitter?

  • @dchicora

    I have a test for you.
    I also have the alto stealth to use to transmit the signal from my guitar effects pedal board across the room to two powered FRFR speakers. It works really well in that application but I have come across an issue.
    I added a usb mixer into my setup so we can record our band rehearsals and ran quarter inch TRS out of the mixer Mains and into the alto transmitter and of course the receivers on the back of the speakers.
    Here is the problem I discovered. When using the alto stealth system with a mixer and a laptop running a DAW, I get very loud static into the speakers. If the DAW is not open, there's no static noise at all but as soon as a DAW is opened up it's very loud static noise to the speakers. When this happened and I was troubleshooting, I bypassed the alto stealth system and just ran quarter inch cables from the mixer directly to the powered speakers and all the static noise was gone when a DAW is open.
    If I am not recording and have no need to have a DAW open, if I just want to play music from CZcams or Windows Media Player off the laptop, or transmit the sound from our instruments, it works perfectly fine. It only happens when a DAW is opened up.
    Any thoughts on this?

      It sounds like you are creating a signal loop when your DAW is on since you are sending audio signal flowing in two directions. You should probably be able to fix this by getting a power strip unit with an isolating transformer in it to lift the ground and break the loop and wither plugging your power to your laptop into it, or the usb mixer’s power source into it. The company tripp-lite makes some good ones just search for a power strip with isolated transformer in it

    Will daisy chaining Left/Right speakers work? For example
    1 powered subwoofer and 2 powered cabs on the L and 2 on the R (5 cabs in total).
    1 receiver to each of the subs IN and run cables from the sub out to the L / R bottom bin then the top bin.
    Would that work?

    • @djbrandon5016
      @djbrandon5016 Před 3 lety

      No. But you can run the xlr to your amps but you still need to run your speakon cables to your speakers.

      @davestasts1173 Před 3 lety

      No it won't, speakers must be self powered in order to work.

    • @SThompsonRAMM_1203
      @SThompsonRAMM_1203 Před 2 lety

      Nothing is guaranteed.
      I have this system and it’s environmental with too many scenarios to name.
      The best way is to get your transmitter up as high as possible, speakers in line of sight, and use channels above 5.
      Keep your antennas up and in sight.
      If it’s a life and death scenario….this is not the system you want.
      There are more expensive and reliable systems out there like the Sennheiser EW-100 G4 system. I use this system when I need to be sure.

    • @davestasts1173

      They claim 200ft but keep in mind since it is a radio freq and where your going to be using it, the distance may vary due to other radio frequencies, wifi and cell towers.
