  • February 20, 1995 - The greatest Rafael in NBA history, Rafael Addison played just one season with the Detroit Pistons, though it was arguably his most productive of his career. Playing alongside a rookie Grant Hill, Addison averaged 8.3 points per game for the Pistons during the 1994-95 season. Against the Kings, Addison provided a punch off the bench, scoring 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting in a 99-93 win.
Addison played four years at Syracuse before finding himself among a loaded second round class in the 1986 NBA Draft (Mark Price, Dennis Rodman, Johnny Newman, Nate McMillain, Kevin Duckworth, David Wingate, and Jeff Hornacek, among others). Addison's pro career carried on for over a decade, spending nearly as much time overseas (Italy) as he did stateside.

This was a very dark time for the Pistons...I was really disappointed in Grant Hill in Detroit because he was talented yet soft because he wouldn't take charge and get after it trying to win, he'd cruise and try to win... he played like he was just out jogging before he starts his day... too bad he got hurt in Detroit, that was unfortunate but I'm glad Joe Dumars was able to sign and trade him to Orlando so the Pistons could get Ben Wallace and other guys.... I mean just ask why didn't Hill have that type of heart like Ben Wallace to get his hands dirty at the small forward position? Dennis Rodman, Mark Aguirre, Adrian Dantley, and even Kelly Tripuka would get their hands dirty in games... Grant was just smooth cruising and let's see what happens...it was disgusting.

Bruh we’re coming up on 30 years since this all happened, does it even matter at this point?

@@stevenqbosell Yes, it matters because it happened, we are commenting on it and it's a video shown in time so the people that were there and lived through things can give their perspective and if it doesn't matter, why show it or have it as a video or make comments? It means nothing when it comes to actual reality of now unless you want to be accurate concerning history, time, who, what, when, where, etc.... Michael Jordan was a white guy from Mississippi who could fly through the air; he had blond hair and blue eyes and was known as the 'White Shadow of Air' due to his lily white skin and sophisticated charm and athleticism.... So yes, about 30 years ago was 1993 when he 3-peated -- so how he looked, what he did, and what happened is important.... But does it even matter?.... How important is your family history 30 years into the future?

@@plainsimple244 yeah you must’ve lost money on a Grant Hill game back in 1996. Jeez. Still hurts huh?

@@stevenqbosell No, I'm just a Pistons fan so I was looking forward to Grant Hill being a great pro and helping that team win; I didn't bet on any game, I was just disappointed in Hill as a Pistons player.

@@plainsimple244 I get it bro. No sarcastic comments this time, it’s just that I find it crazy to have such intense feelings for a guy who hasn’t played for your team for 23 years…. I think the Pistons have bigger problems than what Grant Hill did in 2000 bruh.
