Main game had trouble with being quite unfinished in many regards, but story and most characters were ranging from decent to great. Donovan was an example of the latter. No idea why it felt like that despite his limited screen time😅 So let's see where this one goes.
Donovan: C'mon. C'mon! My grandma can drive faster than this!
Lincoln: *Well, let's go get the old bag and see what she can do.*
Well, after watching it, it seems that the main problem of main game(lack of polish and finish) creeped into this DLC too. Floating objects in cutscene, problems with dialogue cutoffs, music and sound just fail in final ambush, NPCs having trouble initiating animations.
On the other hand, Lincoln here looks and acts like Arnie in Commando. Idk why he can't be this way in main game.
As for plot of DLC, I'd say it would have been a bit better if antagonists didn't plan to sell plot device off, but rather was just planning to return it to soviets for bounty and to uphold the same status quo that Donovan talks about... and then the end would imply that it is Donovan, who's taking plot device into unknown direction because he wants to uproot said status quo that he hated in main game.
I'm a bit disappointed about lack of new toys. It's 1968! The moment CAR-15 with M203 and Colt optics was first entering service. Late 1960's-early 1980's is an era of de facto "supersoldier" not only in movie characters like Rambo or Dutch, but also in equipment where special forces had gotten second generation assault rifles, NVGs, first real bulletproof vests, underbarrel grenade launchers, LMGs with intermediate ammo, guided man portable weapons, portable recon radars, MANPADs, optics and whomever knows what else while majority of their opposition was still using WWII equipment. Give Lincoln gyrojet pistol!
This game really had the potential to be one of the best of all time if the gameplay was better and the world wasn’t empty
Modder tried to fix it but... there was only so much they could do. Only thing that can fix this is a remake.
@@65firered I just don’t understand why studios make these empty ass worlds and it’s New Orleans there should be plenty of side activities
@keandregreen5628 I'm guessing they didn't have the development time to fully flesh out and complete the world. I mean car customization, clothing options and renovating Sammy's were added in post-launch. That alone tells me they didn't have the time to complete the game. Likely due to bad management and poor planning.

Or rather make separate game about him and(maybe Lincoln too, but then it'll be a prequel).
