- I've recently been experimenting with driving traffic from Reddit to my own website.
I've now had a number of articles "hit" from my experiments...and in fact just had Reddit send my site over 11,000 visitors in a single day!
Now I'm going to share the 5 strategies that you can use to experiment getting Reddit traffic.
Warning: Proceed with caution. Some of these strategies might be considered a bit "shady". Watch the video and let me know if you agree.

Here's number 6 (the most shadiest). Post a question about your niche with one account, then answer it with another reddit account linking to your site. Then use a bunch of other accounts to upvote your answer post and leave positive comments so it gets artificially pushed to the top. Or pay a social media service to upvote and leave positive comments. That's how you can hack reddit 's traffic. Would not recommend, but Google will never penalize you for this.
Make sure you use proxies and clear your cookies/cache each time you switch accounts otherwise the mods will see its all coming from the same IP
I’ve been using Redcom ai that does all this. Mainly use it to drive traffic to my side projects by mentioning them on relevant threads that are ranking on Google.
I buy upvotes to rank my comments and this strategy has been working great for me

@@MJ98774 Yup, proxies on each account is a must so you don't get banned.
They will now. Your broadcasting directly to them.
The guru is back with a bang. You are one of the few honest SEO webmasters, got to know you via Pat Flynn
Awesome, glad you enjoyed the video! 😁
Great strategy. Amazing video - loved the pool BROLL throughout so good. Reddit traffic is great for so many reasons. Keep it coming Spencer!
Thanks Jesse!
Not shady at all..."if you cant beat them, join them" Not our fault Google wants to rate crap, SEO is a game of cat and mouse and adapting to the changes. Interesting you found this on BHW, I stopped going there awhile ago since most of the info is useless, vague or a sales pitch for somebody's PBN links but this is interesting information. The subreddit idea in particular is something I'm going to try. Another poster mentioned having multiple accounts so you can answer/upvote your own posts and while that could also work, using proxies (I'd recommend keeping a spreadsheet to track the IP/date of the post) and clearing cache/cookies each time the account is switched could also work, but a little more volatile. Anyway, great vid.
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Great video! And you are quite the pool player!!..solid green 6 left corner pocket was not too easy!!
Thanks 👍
Straight to the point 3:41 ❤
I've just started experimenting with Reddit, lucky I already had an account that was 6 years old that I can use. Not a lot of traffic yet but I'm giving it some time to see what happens
Awesome, good luck!
Interesting idea. Any backlinks gained or product sales other than the ad revenue you received?
Just ad revenue. That's the only way this site is monetized
Great Vid Spencer ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Should I use my own personal Reddit account to do this or create one with my business name?!
Great video!
You can use a personal reddit account, no need to have one in your business name.
Now starring Spencer Haws in the CZcams remake of Paul Newman's The Hustler. 😁 Nicely done.
haha, thank you! one of these days my acting career is really gonna take off...
I have 35,000ish karma on reddit. Maybe I can get paid to spam lol
I'm sure you could, lol.
It’s incredibly frustrating and disappointing that blogs are being penalized by Google, while shallow Reddit content is being pushed. My guess is Google will buy them out down the road. It’s all part of the Google AI strategy. They need human content
I agree, it's frustrating
What isn’t good for you doesn’t mean Google has actual metrics that people search Reddit. For instance my gen x son was searching for something and he did search term Reddit
Actual content starts at 3:41.
I would re-emphasize that karma is very important for reddit.
I had a six month old account, active across different communities (300+ Karma). I used it to gain couple of 100s vistor/day for a my newly launched website (ranking on the top SERP for one of my keywords).
Even though, people on reddit were loving the content and I was following every reddit guideline, guess what my account just got suspended today and now old links have expired and zero traffic on my blog :(
Bummer! Yep, building up karma is very important.
I am following similar strategy
This 12 mins clip should be 2.5 mins clip!!
Let me be the first one...and probably the only one, to say that your pool skills are remarkable.
Lol...yes, you will probably be the only one to say that! My pool game needs some work.
Thank you :)
I hope to not get penalized by reddit for doing these.
I am excited
shady?
who cares, as long as it works and doesn't get you banned.
I call it being creative.
I have 1500 karma on Reddit how should I harness its power
Follow the 5 steps in the video.
Reddit bite🍕❤️
I got banned from Reddit 🤦🏾♂️
The problem with Reddit traffic is the conversion rates are really bad. It's easy to get thousands of visitors from Reddit, but a very small percent of them will convert into anything
what kind of "conversion rate" are you getting?
I agree, but again, if traffic is more, even small % can help
They banned me for spam for posting content from my website.
That can definitely happen
set up another account :)
@@hhefner9659 I did. My account they banned was 12 years old. It sucked. I had some above the fold rankings with it on Google.
This guy is crazy good.
Reddit Ad.
Terrible video, doesn't get to the point until the end, and does an amateur attempt at story telling by playing pool.
What about the 5 strategies didn't you like?
@@niche-pursuits I had already clicked off the video about 3 minutes in because you said the point of getting traffic from Reddit so many times without saying how, I had to fast forward to get the information. I hope you can take it as a constructive critique. I felt my time was wasted with the teasing, fluff and story telling. If this is typical of the content you make, then I'll be sure to avoid it in the future.
*eye roll*
