Wow, this was so incredibly helpful to me! I would like to use the image on the right of the last slide in my thesis if possible, is there any chance you could let me know who holds the copyright to it? (I've spent the last three hours on Google image search but no success...)

@@DrKristinAtchison Hello Dr Atchison. I'm researching the white matter and auditory cortex in an effort to enlighten the many thousands of people who stutter/stammer on a couple of facebook support pages. Would you be kind and willing to create a presentation, like this one, specifically regarding the brain and stuttering? Kind regards, James

Excellent, what causes ringing in the ears?

Google "causes of tinnitus". There are several different reasons.

@@kerstinanderson6172 and yet medical specialists all tell me for the last 6 years that no one really understands tinnitus and there's no cure.
Plus they send you to an ear nose throat specialist for tinnitus when they say themselves that tinnitus is actually not in the ears but in the brain!
Then why waste my time sending me to ENT!!
I researched all the many possible causes for tinnitus and attempted several times to discuss my research with GPs, and ENTs.
Except medical practitioners don't like it when patients ask informed questions. It interferes with their superiority complex I've found.
I got the same response over and over again...
Well it could be this or that, but instead of investing each possibility and using the process of elimination to narrow it down to maybe one or two possible causes that we can then investigate and find answers and treat, no instead of doing that sensible thing, let us repeat ourselves....no one really understands tinnitus, you just need to learn to live with it.
      A JOKE!!!!
