You may want to put the second key at home in case you lose the first key. With the two keys being connected, if you lose them, you’re completely out of luck. BTW, when I order my Cruiser, I will definitely pay the extra $30 for them to install the thumb controller. Thanks.

I ordered mine with the thumb throttle installed but when it arrives u have to position it to how u want it because they don’t tighten screws all the way they keep it a bit loose for shipping

Why didn't you just use the handlebar twist instead of the throttle? Can it work for the Vsett 8??? But great video

Where did you get the handlebar extender? And would there be enough space, or slack to install the voltmeter on the left side of the handle bars?

Got it on Amazon. There are many of them available, in different colors too. You can put the Voltmeter on the left, but that will prevent the folding mechanism from opening, meaning that you could not fold the handlebars down.

I ran into the same problem as you did. The should have called it a palm throttle:) Did you also get handle bar extensions?

I positioned my thumb throttle further from the grips so just the tip of my thumb touches enough that I still can control it I think if they had made the handle bars a bit longer your palms can rest on grips and thumb can move freely on throttle I just got mine so I’m trying to find that sweet spot where my palm is comfortable and thumb has comfortable throttle control

So, I notice you only have one clamp on the left side attaching your handlebar extension piece? Is that why the extension bar is loose and rotating around? The thumb throttle does seem like it would possibly be a better fit, yet I've heard of riders who changed it out and then afterwards didn't really like it at all and changed it back to the finger throttle. What's the top speed you're getting on the Cruiser? Thanks for the video. Stay safe!!!

I only have one side because with both, the handlebars would not fold down. The reason it is moving is because I clamped it the bit that folds. After the video I moved it to another spot. I love the thumb throttle and would never go back to the finger throttle.

I turned the speedometer using GPS. I don’t get over 25 mph.

Is it possible for you twist your extender mount on top a little bit towards you to see the display better?

    • @TheTinRam
      @TheTinRam  Před 3 lety

The throttle display? Since the cable connecting the throttle and display is pretty short, if you move the display up, the throttle would need to go down. Unless you cut and extend the cable a bit.

How smooth is the thumb throttle? I don’t like the stock throttle as it’s hard to find a good smooth accelerator.

I'd really like to know that too. I am enjoying my month-old Cruiser but the jerky accelleration is really annoying and I find it very difficult to control, and it's almost impossible to start smoothly from standing. If the thumb throttle is smoother, I'll change it.

I'm interested to know how your handlebar extension fits...

When making this video the extender was clamped onto the handlebar folding mechanism. But that caused it to rotate. I ended up getting a different extender that attaches to the stem.

Hi Tin ram, I have an idea for you, I'm actually waiting for my new e move cruiser to be delivered,
I will also be buying the thumb throttle as an extra, I like the position of the thumb throttle where you have placed it on the handle bar, its more practical to have it there.
I can also see your problem having to move your volt meter and key switch to make room for the folding release sleeves.
So here's what I am going to do, my friend is a great welder, so I am gonna get him to weld a 2.5 inch handle bar steel tube to either side of the handle bars.
Once the handle bar grips go back on you wont notice the extensions that much to each side, that way giving you the extra 2,5 inches extra space to leave the volt meter on the main bar.
just thought I would put my idea to you in case you want to replace your back to where it was. Hope you don't mind me suggesting it to you.

I actually ordered this part from Amazon. I will move the extension bar to this. Suncentech Bike Stem 0-60 Degree Adjustable 25.4/31.8 Stem 110mm Handlebar Riser Extender for Road Bike, Mountain Bike, MTB, BMX, Cycling www.amazon.com/dp/B072BYZM4T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_QFg3EbKF3JCKZ

Bad decision, because you get better control of speed with the finger throttle.
