How much money would we pay to have a full noon with them chatting, no pressure, no obsession for small details and just letting the chatting flow with a couple beers? I know I would pay more than I can admit.
Suggest you track down the PopArt DVD from 2003 if you haven't seen it. It has a running commentary behind their promo videos ['Pet Shop Boys in conversation with Chris Heath']. It's great.
@@FranciscoHernandez-ld2es I was lucky to meet Chris twice. 1997 at the Savoy concert and he signed my About cd, and when I met Neil and Chris at a HMV PopArt signing. Both very down to Earth.
The secret to their long-term success? They're just a couple of regular guys, like you and me. However, beneath that 'ordinariness', they happen to be geniuses, too.
The Very cover is tricky, as the CD is orange, the cassette is blue and the vinyl record is yellow. If you have the CD and go to the record shop searching for the record, you may miss it out :)). The orange lego CD cover is absolutely amazing art, though.
They could have had a go with the limited edition triple vinyl. It had a full logo with their faces on each side of the cover. Striking and effective. Never liked this cover nor the inner sleeve.
I could NEVER.. EVER...GET BORED. OF THESE GUYS.. ABSOLUTELY ❤❤❤them too bits although I ❤neil.. Chris is my favourite he's so cute plays absolutely brilliantly.. PETSHOP BOYS for me.. All the way ❤❤❤These guys too bits
Release is one of my favorite albums. Right up there with Elysium and Behaviour. I absolutely love albums that create a mood and these certainly do that. Absolute joy to play.
I love Release though Elysium is so forgettable for me that it is their only album I never revisit. Still not BAD though, as I cannot imagine they are capable of bad
I was quite surprised that Introspection is their best selling album of all time!!! Probably because of Always on My Mind? Also, where is Elysium? And finally... I just ADORE Release! So under appreciated. It is a pity. Some great tracks there, oh yes!
Actually was the point were it all came together - the music the production the visual and the image. "But you just stand behind me, with a keyboard and TV that someone has leant you. You're good at standing still, I'm quite good at singing. They love it. It pays our rent."
I don't want to be pretentious, but I want to praise the Behaviour album. I'm rather a rock guy, but that's one of the best albums at all I can't take down when I put it on.
remember when it came out and alll the magazines had it on their Best Of lists and every big musician even hard rock and metal bands all listed it among their favorite albums of the year!
If they gave us 'Please' alone it would be job well done for the Pet Shop Boys. I still listen to it today, it still blows me away. Thanks Neil and Chris.
ive been saying it for decades now: every single song on that album is pristine perfection and could be singles. talk about knocking it out of the park on day one! i will never tire of that masterpiece
This is from the BBC doc that I had to search for to watch here in America, but I was able to a few days ago and it is excellent. I hope it gets released so the world can see it!
@@ChunterInfo I've mulled this over as a life long PSB fan. Finally, I just followed PSB's lead - That their main goal has always been creating great music for EVERYONE to enjoy.
Loved this part, thanks for uploading it !!! Im to this day surprised that Chris hates the cover of Actually, my personal guess is that he doesnt own all of the PSB releases, maybe the albums but he sometimes forgets what songs are here or there so Im assuming any of Us can guess immediatly a song of theirs in 2 seconds, my thought is that if you play to Chris a random non single of an album he might get difficulties to know which and where hjahaha , how can you not love him ?
I bought that record, because of that cover. My father saw it in my room and said to me. You know it is so Rockwell style! Just take a look at your hallway, we have four Rockwell hanging there. And there it was! 👍 The record company knew nothing of marketing as we can see. Chris never likes anything, or anyone.... Typical Chris.
Please, Actually and Very 3 great albums. Whit relatives some b sides of singles, would has been 3 masterpieces. (man get arrested, what was it was, you kwon whn you went wrong, new life, jack the lad, decadance, too many people). New life and Jack the lad may be fused in a unic song!
They should do a drum and bass album influenced by the mid 90s. Their track ‘betrayed’ which is pretty good. And they used to air unreleased mixes by the likes of Kenny Ken and Slipmat back in the day.
LOL they skipped 'Elysium', that's okay, I often do too. I only really love one track on it, the rest is a bit weak sauce. But skipping over 'Yes' is criminal, I consider it one of their masterpieces, right up there with their imperial period.
Been loving their music since the 1980s, still am now in 2024
My first track was "In the night". I was immediately hooked. It still gives me goosebumps
The first time I heard Pet Shop Boys back in the early 80s ..for me it was love at first sight for my ears...their music is timeless...!!!
I only have one word to describe PSB: perfection!
How much money would we pay to have a full noon with them chatting, no pressure, no obsession for small details and just letting the chatting flow with a couple beers? I know I would pay more than I can admit.
I’d sell a kidney! I hung around outside the exit of the Manchester Apollo to try and meet them. Chris ran onto the bus, Neil signed my ticket!
Suggest you track down the PopArt DVD from 2003 if you haven't seen it. It has a running commentary behind their promo videos ['Pet Shop Boys in conversation with Chris Heath']. It's great.
It has a dancing star…
I was lucky to meet my 80s hero’s backstage after their concert few years ago to have a chat for a few seconds. They were so nice and humble!
Introspective is a masterpiece and a milestone that only few can achieve!
Behaviour is a brilliant album, one of my favorites!
Love that one too! Harold Faltermeyer co produced it.
Mee too..
Fully agree - tiz their best!
Ahh!! Incredible! Two legends!
I absolutely love ❤THE PET SHOP BOYS. Fantastic British band ❤ Thank you for the brilliant music...
Chris is so funny in this documentary.
He is always so. He has a great sense of humour.

Still have the orange 3D CD.

Well done to Neil Tennant calling out Taylor Swift's bland music.
Yeah it’s all SH1T.
We are the pet shop boys
Adore...40 years almost
Chris is hilarious
Chris ist halt Chris und anders möchte ich ihn gar nicht haben 😅👍🏼
Please upload the whole program 🙏
It's on BBC iplayer
Es una discografía impresionante. Ningún album de estudio sobra, todos son de altísimo nivel.
I Love your Music. . .ever!
I have all the first albums! Vinyl and Cassette tape! Love all!!!
Release is one of my favorite albums. Right up there with Elysium and Behaviour. I absolutely love albums that create a mood and these certainly do that. Absolute joy to play.
I agree - but I'm not sure we are in a majority!
I love Release though Elysium is so forgettable for me that it is their only album I never revisit. Still not BAD though, as I cannot imagine they are capable of bad
Elysium? That one did not really work for me. They sounded out of great material other than "Invisible" and maybe the opening track...
Love these guys😂
Please is a fantastic album so is actually cracking band loved since day 1 ❤
The BBC Imagine: Pet Shop Boys documentary is incredible. I felt like I was privy to personal conversation with them both.
A word about "Yes": YES!!!
Been a fan since the 80s, and Actually is still my favourite album cover.
I was quite surprised that Introspection is their best selling album of all time!!! Probably because of Always on My Mind?
Also, where is Elysium?
And finally... I just ADORE Release! So under appreciated. It is a pity. Some great tracks there, oh yes!
It was just at the right time
That was interesting, and I never made a the usual pet-ty comment boys 😆 Neil your in my top five greatest lyricists.
내 영원한 소년들.❤❤❤
I ❤ the album Release!
Yes, it's underrated! Except for a few tracks I really like that one too.
Weirdly Behaviour and Release are my favourites. Although I love the others too
Actually was the point were it all came together - the music the production the visual and the image.
"But you just stand behind me, with a keyboard and TV that someone has leant you.
You're good at standing still, I'm quite good at singing. They love it. It pays our rent."
They were missing the Yes cover.
And Elysium.
Were they forgotten? Were they IGNORED? 😅😅😅😅😅
In my top 4 of their albums, together with Introspective, Behaviour and Very.
They definitely were more clever than anyone has given them credit for!!!
Same here 😊@@markusandergard6925
Chris on the videoclips: 😐
Chris on interviews: 😃
Behaviour and Very the best !!
Bet they're a great laugh on a night out!
Class, actually!
👍👍
My favorite CD cover of all time is the Orange "Lego" cover from "Very."
I love Pet Shop Boys!❤❤ Introspective is the my favourite album. But, I like so much others. Warm Regards from Brazil.❤❤
I don't want to be pretentious, but I want to praise the Behaviour album. I'm rather a rock guy, but that's one of the best albums at all I can't take down when I put it on.
nothing pretentious about that. I suspect most PBS fans would agree with you.
remember when it came out and alll the magazines had it on their Best Of lists and every big musician even hard rock and metal bands all listed it among their favorite albums of the year!

....I like the 'Release' album...
I would love to hear them chat about their excellent B-sides.
I absolutely loved this segment. If only it went on for an hour and covered all their artwork. A pethead since day1 💕🤗
I love Behaviour ... It's a classic!!!
They skipped over the albums “Yes” and “Elysium.”
I❤PSB.
These guys were killing it in the 80s
Incredible and so clever!! PSB Forever!!
This is from the BBC doc that I had to search for to watch here in America, but I was able to a few days ago and it is excellent. I hope it gets released so the world can see it!
Son los mejores todo lo que va saliendo tido tengo guardado de nus idolos fan desde Gran Canaria
Release is a masterpiece. Fact.
I wanted to hear more information about each album.
Kraftwerk
New order
Pet shop boys
KLF
Total music genius
Sparks above all
Camouflage too.
you forgot Massive Attack. One listen to "Unfinished Sympathy" and you too may well be hooked.
Let's digest this for a hot minute: "Please" is the ONLY PSB album to go platinum in the US..... What is wrong with Americans!!!?
Americans have bad taste. And I'm American. Thankfully, they still have a following here.
You're not going to like the answer, but you probably already know
@@ChunterInfo I've mulled this over as a life long PSB fan. Finally, I just followed PSB's lead - That their main goal has always been creating great music for EVERYONE to enjoy.
Американцы не понимают ничего в настоящей музыке.
Великобритания всегда была центром гениальных исполнителей .
Radio is pure garbage in the USA l. The communications act in the 90’s made it even worse.
Amazing. Thank you for all the words!
" Them" [ being themselves ] is why I love them. They come across threw their music .
Loved this part, thanks for uploading it !!! The Chris we love..but...how can you be sure when is he not playing the Lowe PSB role and instead is talking as the real Chris Lowe? 😅😅😅😅
Just love these guys.

Keşke hiç yaşlanmasalar efsane grup Domino Dancing gibi bir şarkı sanmıyorum yapılamaz klibi de öyle muhteşem
Love it - thanks for upload. Love how the PSB artwork has continued to evolve and be at forefront of design in pop and British culture
I love PSB ,greetings from Argentina !🎉❤🇦🇷
Pet shop boys the best
Chris is funny AF!!!! 😂😂😂
Chris just can't keep his gob shut, he's always interrupting that other fella.
Their best album for me is Actually. Because I like pop dance.
The best
And where is "Yes"? A brilliant one
Eu amo tudo isso!❤
1:16 Oh my, my all the times favorite album ❤
I have not seen any comment about "Results" and "Electronic" ,,, both very good albums.
Nice!
Mark Farrow is an amazing creative curator.

Hotspot was GREAT! The 'Lost' ep even better!
I like the ‘Agenda’ EP.
Electric was the first album I bought since actually.
Adoro vocês......Abraço !!👋👋👋👋👋
I love the Pet Shop Boys
LOVE
Berlin, the city in which infamously nothings works. With one famous exception. Greetings from Schöneberg...
I love you guys 🎉
Great video. They skipped “Yes“ and “elysium“
though 😉
Neil says “Introspective” is their biggest selling album but it’s actually “Very”.
The yawn image is iconic.
Liebe Grüße an Mark Farrow 👍🏼🍀

Yes and Elysium are great albums by the queens of pop 😍🎶
Leider habe ich meine Platten nicht mehr lange Geschichte und zu Privat 😊 Neil und Chris auf die nächsten 40 Jahre ich liebe euch eure Caro❤❤
I still got the Surburbia Maxi Single 😻
Very was their best imho. Music and shell orange cover:)
Muito bom parabéns
Please come back to Australia!! It's been waaaaay too long since you were last here.🙏
Por que no subis el documental completo?😢
On the wrong train is the worst feeling.
Сегодня я почувствовала , где настоящая реальность. ❤
Behaviour is their best. Very , too. Bilingual and Nightlife have some classics.. Even Axl Rose loves the Pets.
Hey Boys!!! You forgot *Yes* and *Elysium* 🙁
LOL they skipped 'Elysium', that's okay, I often do too. I only really love one track on it, the rest is a bit weak sauce. But skipping over 'Yes' is criminal, I consider it one of their masterpieces, right up there with their imperial period.
But coming soon, I will have Suburbia in 12" single.😎😎😎😎
