Thanks! It’s a great message that for some applications, the simpler knots are very fast and effective. And the cobra knots are a very quick and effective way to ease the stress of a single cord across a neck or shoulder. Your device will also work for a load which is much heavier than a yoga mat. However in those cases it would be safer to tie the Celtic Button knot at the ends instead of the double overhand knots. The extra couple of loops add more size and strength that would ever be needed.

Nice , nice 👍👍👍 great and practical!! Going to make several as gifts for family , friends … beach weather coming up in couple of months , so ideal for rolling up the beach towel and carrying it on your shoulder instead of a beach bag , frees up a lot of bulk and space in the beach bag . I was contemplating making a beach mesh bags but couldn’t find stiff mesh .This idea is much better, faster and more economical. Win, win, win ….

Nice. This is kind of how I roll up my pewpew mat, except I use adjustable grip hitch knots, instead of double overhand knots, so I can cinch it down snug and it doesn’t back off. Never thought to make a cobra strap over the cord, though. But, it makes it look so much nicer than just the bare cord. That might be my next project.
