S'time for another all synths cover and an Outrun cover at that too.
This one is the second track specifically written for the 3ds port . While it's "relatively" modern it manages to sound like it's a long lost tune straight out from the arcades and a perfect fit for Outrun in my opinion. It's a track I've always wanted to work on and since there was no midi available for it I took time to write one for it. This one took time as the tune likes to go in a few different directions. I started working on transcribing this one while on holidays back in December and continued to complete it both live on twitch and offline. I it took a few more hours of crafting and patching the right sounds on my various synths and using my main mixer to mix and add various effects .

yeah this has a nice retro feel. wouldn't feel out of place in a Sonic game at all. super nice job.

Oh, this really takes me back to the days of MIDI on my Windows 98 SE PC with a Sound Blaster Gold card when I played around with the MIDI banks... I LOVE IT.
Also, that studio is INTENSE... And doing a lot of work all at once. I get a very real Harold Faltermeyer feel from this work... (It is meant as a compliment).

haven’t heard or seen this game before, but I totally dig the way these old racing games feel as you cruise past pixelated landmarks and how your competitors’ cars’ sprites materialize on the horizon as you approach. just a whole vibe.

People are saying casiopea, which I certainly do hear. But I also hear "Say it isn't so" by Hall and Oates mixed in there too with the chord changes.

This was great, I knew it'd be good since I really liked your cover of "Passing Breeze" too! 😁 I saw someone else mention Casiopea, love that jazz/funk fusion sound you hear in a lot of the late 70s-80s Japanese stuff
I love these "retraux" tracks, both of them, though Camino A Mi Amor is the better one in my opinion.
You know, in the Switch release of OutRun, both of the 3DS-original tracks were included alongside four other new tracks. One of them was a synthwave medley of the original three, two were demakes of songs from the sequels, and one of them, Step on Beat, was an arcade-styled remix of a song exclusive to the Master System port. That last one just tickles my fancy simply because of that fact.
