How old were you and where were you when you heard this tune for the first time ?
About 7 years old, getting on 40 this years so 33 years ago. And it still feels like yesterday and still makes me so excited to hear it.
I do not know, I was pretty tiny though
I was a kid back then around 8 or 10 and a friend had one of those bootleg consoles you buy in a dollar store or somethobg like that, and it had a rom of an old castlevania game, since then i've always felt attached to game soundtracks
I must've been 9 and saw a TV commercial for Simon's Quest. I know everyone hated that game, but i loved it because the music score was so amazing
6 or 7. I actually got all the way to the Grim Reaper in Castlevania 1, so much of NES back then was just pure effort, but Simons Quest I couldn't even get through the first mansion
That lead-up was absolutely awesome!
As a life long Castlevania fan, this is by far one of the best versions of this track I've personally heard. Thank you so much

thanks dude . yeah this one was a head-scratcher for a while for me though . it's a tough one to do in any other way than drum-heavy metal . Once i decided to do a small intro it kinda clicked into place

You should play all the Castlevania games released till date (from NES era to NDS). These games are awesome and memorable gems. Castlevania and Metroid were the only two game franchise which led to a well known term in gaming called "Metroidvania". You certainly will feel the power of this genre.
