24 years ago this song was released, in 2000. Some say they predicted the Iraq war. Til this day the U.S. is still enabling “wars”. Big Boi and Andre 3000 are anti war, but because of what unfolded in 2001 people used this song as a pro war song. The complexities of being Black in the U.S. and “wars” abroad are written into one song, yet the right thought this was their anthem…as they hijack many things that are for people of color.
