The interface of the new Germans - put more cheap plastic where possible and spice it up with a large screen (or several) - and now you have a cool design. Everything has slipped into primitivism. Alfa is different (for now... and not all models).

Me too. I personally have no interest in a over teched car, especially with an interior that looks like the offspring from a one night stand between a Slovakian brothel and currys.
This is just perfect for my taste.

I have a MY 2017 with some mods : shorter springs, 20 inch forged wheels with ultralow profile tyres, GTA(m) suspension software, tuned to 570 HP-720 Nm, no more rev limiter in the first 5 gears in Dynamic mode, more progressive paddle feel and a separate button to open and close the exhaust valves in whatever driving mode. I don't care about the poor resolution of the rear parking camera or the dated infotainment. It's all about the driving experience and the feeling that the car gives you. Even after 7 years there is no better car to find at this price that can be easy going (in A or N mode) or go completely bonkers (in D or R mode). I'll never sell it ! That's for sure.

Love my 2019 Giulia QV and don't find the ESD and the brake by wire as big of a deal as people complain about. The car has been an amazing performer on street and on track. Biggest issue is it being designed with Ferrari influence....hence Ferrari-ish costs. But what cars in this class don't cost big $$$. As compared to the competitors, I don't miss the tech...just more to go wrong in my past experiences. The valve cover gasket issue is well known (on the Giulia) and imperative that you have a warranty and extended warranty to make sure this is covered, because it is an engine out job to replace Valve cover gaskets. That said, one of the most exhilarating, stylish and balanced performance sedan I have ever owned. 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

The I4 Giulia's are fun too. The Veloce benefits from the same chassis advantages as the Quadrifoglio. With the four-cylinder models you also have the option of choosing Q4 (AWD) if needed. The disadvantage in direct comparison to the V6 Quadrifoglio is the sound and the fact that the four-cylinder Giulia's are limited to 240 kmh (electronically regulated), but the I4 models accelerate really well from a standstill, especially with the Q4 drive.

These cars are very special and not cheap either. In addition, Alfa has suffered enormous damage to its image over the past few decades, which unfortunately continues to this day. The quality and durability of Alfa Romeo is really good these days. The Giulia doesn't need to hide from German cars like BMW, Mercedes or Audi. In terms of driving characteristics, emotion etc. it is partially significantly superior to the competition.
Here in Germany you see the four-cylinder variants like Veloce, Estrema or Competizione much more often with Q4 than with Q2.
