Hey guys, many of you are asking why we chose the vibrant mode when we’re criticizing the photos by saying the colors and contrast are too bright. The answer is: In Authentic mode the colors are way too weak and the photo is generally very muted and lifeless. That’s why we opted for Vibrant mode. If you ask us, there should be another mode between Vibrant mode and Authentic mode that is exactly between the two. Unfortunately, we also made a mistake with the zoom. Of course, the Xiaomi can zoom 120x. The 120 FPS in 4K cannot be selected in slow motion mode, which is why we did not show it in our comparison.

Don't agree att all as a photographer. In natural mode it has still more saturation and contrast then pixel 8 people seem to like. I dont care what brand it's. You choose to use it and complain in every photo in the video. This is why I don't like channels trying to be influencers depending how much companies paying you and people who read from a script.
thats where you are missing the point of xiaomi phones. its trying to match a real camera look. not a smartphone look of photos. And when using the vibrant u cant complain of the saturated and vibrant colors because its literally in the name..." vibrant mode".
I love the Xiaomi. The pics come out beautiful though underrated. I'm a pixel and Samsung fan but Xiaomi stood out the most in the comparisons. XIAOMI IS A WIN EVEN ON VIBRANT MODE👏👏
xiaomi can shoot macro using ultra wide 3x and 5x. u only used the ultrawide and decided the macro results.
Guys...sorry to say that but its obvious that something is wrong with the way you are making this versus...I mean, after I tried the Xiaomi 14 ultra, it's way closer to the look of a proper camera than the other phones...in fact, its seems you are looking for a more "phone looking photo" rather a "camera looking photo"...

I'm glad I'm not the only one in the comments to think that this all comparison was biased against the Xiaomi 14 ultra, during all the video I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt, but there are too many "one points" to Xiaomi that didn't deserve at all, even more where the own lady Versus said she liked in many aspects. And to make things worse, she even sabotaged the zoom comparison by ommiting the Xiaomi's 30X AI that would crush the other competitators without mercy.

Instead Vivo x100 pro is the most accurate and performs well as per the sensor size

It's always the same. When we use the authentic mode, people write: use the vibrant mode. We chose vibrant mode because the photos are better, in authentic mode the photos look colorless.
You should be using the authentic mode as it is clear in this video that xiaomi got absoloutely destroyed by the other brands which in reality is definitely not the case other reviewers have done much more accurate comparisons of these smartphones and it is definitely a lot closer. @@Versusdotcom

Yes, I have just seen a video of a professional photographer using Xiaomi 14 Ultra and S24. The pictures taken using the 14 Ultra looks amazing and feels like straight out from proper camera not phones.

It can't be that bad if it is the most anticipated camera phone of the year. The only phone that can come close to it is my Vivo X100 Pro, and both phones trade blows in some shots. Also if you crop (zoom in) the pictures, you should see that the 14 Ultra has much more details. This comparison is a joke 😂

Thank you for the comparison. I drew concerns with the individual shots taken and had to wonder if any of the phones were represented properly.
Guys. I imported the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and all these claims of contrast and what not are actually non-existent. Im a professional photographer and i honestly think that your unit has an issue. I click an average of 100-150 pics on a daily basis and 70% i find myself reaching out for the ultra more than my Nikon D5300 camera. Not a single photo comes out overexposed or so contrasty even in challenging situations.
Also, Xiaomi has 120x zoom with AI and it perfoms hell better than my friend's S24U by a gap, especially when ai is on so i wonder how you were testing and missed out on that unmissable detail. I have a lot but please check your unit and review again coz Xiaomi 14 Ultra genuinely has the most advanced capable camera system on the market. (Vivo X100 pro is also up there with it)

It seems to me that you were using the Master Portrait feature on the Xiaomi. There is a Leica Portrait feature instead
If you want the natural look then you can use the RAW profile.

Some categories are more important than others, so the total does not matter much. I think the different categories should have different weights based on their importance.
And for portraits Xiaomi's multiple focal lengths and portrait styles are dammm good

Could have used Leica Authentic instead of Vibrant on the Xiaomi. Agreed that the edge detection is bad, but u can get optical bokeh instead of digital bokeh by using 3.2x for portrait. (or close shot on 1x lense with wide aperture)

There are 2 camera modes in xiaomi. One is vibramt and one is the natural looking. Which one was used?
Reason why I don't like comparisons like this is because they are mostly sponsored by samsung and apple. Other thing I don't like is that creators don't use the full potential of camera they always has their focus on auto not adjusting aperture or using pro mode . Using everything on auto doesn't gives a full potential photo of mobile
Samsung needs to fix that Banding effect when using long exposure night shots. Hope they fix it soon.

When you're using flagship phones like this.. you should also be clicking portraits with the telephoto lenses.. because that's what they are for.. you should have included that segment too.. but anyways the xiaomi unit is tuned as per Chinese skin tones.. you should have tried out the Indian variant as the colour science is pretty close to natural and exposure is balanced too..
Look I've been watching this channel for a long time, and following phone camera comparison for almost 8 years now, and I like you guys for covering all the things, but in the portrait mode you guys are using the 1x mode which is saddening bcz it is best while using their tele lenses, this needs to be improved guys! I'm not being biased here but the leica style portraits are really good with good edge detections and all. Altho I like iphone's portraits for its consistency of skin tone and sharpness. Nonetheless, from next time please do use telephoto lenses while capturing portraits.
