- Thank you for tunning into my channel. In this video I tested plaster and spackling to see the difference between the two. I came to the conclusion that the plaster is better for textured abstract piece than the spackling. I really hope you enjoyed this video.

THANKS AGAIN FOR WATCHING :)
Regarding the plaster, I saw somewhere, that it would be smoother if you mix it with PVD glue and some acrylic paint, so 3 mixture, in the ratio of 4:2:1, plaster, PVD glue and Acrylic paint.
I also heard that if you dry in the sun, it may crack faster. Better to let them dry in room temperature. Please tell us which one cracked faster and how to avoid them from cracking if that is possible. Thank you.
Thank you so much. I just picked up the plaster today. It's also cheaper than Spackle
Thank you very much for this video Neicy. I keep worrying why you don't close the lid of the Filler as air causes it to dry faster, doesn't it?
I love you wiping onto your sleeves. It's like a badge of honor. Lol.
I use that compound plaster often. I found that if I use the flat blade spreader to smooth the plaster smashing it down back and forth it's easier snd faster. Also I use that to make my "gesso". I add water and acrylic paint til I get the consistency I want. It does tend to dry up fast, though.
I might have to start making my own gesso as well to save money 😄
That nice and very unique..I can relate
Adding water to the plaster helps it smooth out.
Thank you! I'm inspired
🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much
Yes it does have to be mixed
The spackling probably comes off the canvas because it had nothing to adhere to.. try it again putting gesso over the canvas first.. let it dry, then do the spackling
what is Gesso if u don't mind

Did you notice any cracks in the spackling or plaster when it dried? I used plaster and I noticed small cracks once it dried. I want to try lightweight spackling to see if it cracks when it dries as well.
I wouldn't recommend lightweight spackling because it peels off the canvas very easily.... Instead you can use modeling paste or plaster of Paris powder and mix it yourself with water to create a paste.
Did the plaster crack ? I’ve heard that with changes in heat and humidity it cracks
I used filler and mine cracked
@@FelicidadQ8Don't waste your time with CZcams fake teachers and there not durable fake art. If you can afford it, go to a real art class.
You should use the larger spreader to mix it. The painting knife is too small
Yea it wasn't easy using the knife
Gramma Kitty likes your creativity.
Thank you😊
Is not creativity … everyone doing the same lol
@@quecous3843 Creativity comes from within. lol

You could have put it in a cup to mix it
Yea... I started using a mini bowl on the projects after that.

I bought the canvas pre primed.
Macun dediğiniz ne anlamadım.alçı ve suyla yaptım çatladı maalesef
Hırdavatçıdan önceden karıştırılmış alçı veya sanat mağazasından modelleme macunu kullanmayı deneyebilirsiniz.
She said it was white paint...
Name of the white tools?
Cake scrapers
@@neicygoldenarts can I ask how do you clean the scrapers between usage?
@@drazor456 I run them under a pipe with Luke warm water or if it gets dry I soak them in water till it softens.
Do NOT clean them in your home sink.. you will clog the pipes
Where did You get the scrapers?
Shein, just type in "cake scrappers" but you can get more durable ones at Home Depot. At Home Depot they are called " Adhesive Spreaders".
Amazon has them too
