    I do agree with you regarding the future and pension , also in our family we have had two major life changing events where usually we would have had to claim benefits but we planned for events with savings and insurance instead of flashy cars/ holidays and never had to claim

    I bought a cheap air fryer on offer for well under £100 about a year ago. I use it almost every day. I reckon it has paid for itself in a year as I have not used my main oven in a year! It heats up really quickly, cooks quicker and is much cheaper to run. Just make sure that the tray is large enough for whatever you normally use your oven for. I brush food with olive oil so its healthy too. Especially good for chips - just cut a potato into chips, dry, brush with olive oil and stick in air fryer for 25 mins - yummy, healthy and cheap too!

      I brought one for £44 and honestly within a couple of months it had paid for itself. Plus it's a lot healthier and cheap and knowing I can cook anything in it aswell is a bonus I cooked bread last week and it was amazing so I have only used my oven twice since buying my air fryer and that was in the 1st week just while I was working it out 😊

      @@juliemerrin8698 I use a silicone tray insert in mine, so I don't even have to wash the tray, just scrub the insert. That way the tray should last years.

    Free version usually involve paper work you can't get. They want to irrate people when they wouldn't have the product without the people using and paying for it.

    Oh gosh Claudia, it’s pretty much thanks to watching your videos that I’ve recently sorted out my pension. The live for today, don’t worry about the future mentally, is just shortsighted and crazy!!
    Thank you for your down to earth, sensible advice; keep up the good work 😀❤

      Thank you. I'm glad you've found it useful. I was also inspired by other CZcamsrs to sort myself out. :)

    You could check out your local U3A "University of The Third Age" Branch. They run different interest groups, like Art, Books, Local History etc. I have given up all the paranoia about sterilizing everything when wine making. Talking of hats, reminded me of mother making bobble hat bobbles, using 2 circles of card. 🙂

    Hi lovely. Do you trim your own hair? If so, you do a fab job! Perhaps you could share how you cut it next time? Would be a great help. I've tried cutting mine, but couldn't get my fringe right. Had to pay in the end x

    • @workinprogresssince1974
      @workinprogresssince1974  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Yes I do! There are lots of how to's on youtube for cutting fringes. I do pattern cutting etc so my cutting skills are reasonably good, but my hair used to be down to my waist and I went to a hairdresser last year to get it chopped. I have seen how to's for doing the back but I'm not that confident. Fringes are easy, the back not so much.

    Thanks for your videos. They're so good and helpful. Sorry if others have said, I don't know if you're on any benefits, but if you are (for your viewers if not) there's an essentials Broadband on Vodafone. With no contact. Other companies too. Anyway, thanks so much for your videos. 👍 👍 👍

    Loved the moaning myrtle moments resenting the software fees that then turned into singing their praises, lol.
    I reckon we all like a good moan 😂

    I don’t understand why anybody would expect to get software for free - and £48 a year is great value.

      I had it free for 18 months and there are lots of other things I subscribe to for free and have for years and years and still haven't been forced into a corner to pay for. But yes, £48 is great value.

    So sorry about your friend but nice that you got to meet some new people. Nothing is ever completely good or bad is it?
    Keep on doing things your way, why spend money if you can find a way not to and be creative at the same time!

    But it's not a zero budget because you earn from You Tube.
    Wasn't saying don't save, I work on the basis of prior planning prevents poor performance. And no, don't blow all your money now.

      Yes but the CZcams money isn't going back into CZcams or free to spend, it goes into the pot that pays for my basic day to day life. CZcams is a zero budget.

    I don't believe anyone is suggesting you blow all your money or waste it . I think many people may feel sorry for you thinking you haven't got got any money to buy a treat from time to time .I totally agree that you need to have money put aside for retirement emergencies like car moving etc. Just at times your videos come across as your struggling and begging for help and support which many no that isn't the case. Im 67 and find some of your videos intresting some i find absolutely mind boggling however that's me everybody is different but i honestly don't believe people are suggesting you blow or waste your hard earned savings.

    • @workinprogresssince1974

      Do I beg for support? Do you mean through the Kofi donation page? That isn't about begging for money that's just about giving people an option if they value the content that takes time to make. Kofi is a donation site for all creatives whether that's digital or physical.

    • @juliemerrin8698
      @juliemerrin8698 Před 2 měsíci

      Most of us know you asking people to donate to the £48 a year you need to pay wasn't begging. Most will know you was joking. But some people will take it as you begging and ignore your little giggle when saying it. However if people want to donate a few pence then that's up to them and nobody else.

    • @Dutch_Gonneke
      @Dutch_Gonneke Před 2 měsíci

      Good question. Many people I know inherit money or a house from their parents. I imagine that will make retirement a bit easier.

    • @workinprogresssince1974

      Who knows. Anything could happen. It would be nice to, but never presume!

    • @juliemerrin8698
      @juliemerrin8698 Před 2 měsíci +1

      Looking back on videos I believe Claudia and her brother will inherite their parents house savings insurance etc from their parents but nobody should ever presume or count on it as none of us knows what is around the corner .I remember a few yrs ago a lady I worked with thought she was going to be well looked after when her dear parents passed only to find when her mum sadly passed within 2 years her father had to be put into a care home which social services wouldn't pay because he owned his own home .Even though she wasn't forced to sell straight away it was made clear that his care home would need to be paid in full once the house was sold however its now almost 3yrs and apart from his blindness mobility and forgetfulness he is doing better than ever health wise .And all she can now see is nearly £7,000 a month adding up regularly. It's absolutely disgusting that people work so hard all their lives and then when they need help all their hard work and savings is slowly taken from them to pay for their care in later life😢
