I ordered mine from you guys Thursday. Got it in the mail Friday. (Yesterday) I live in Newport so it didn’t have to travel but about 15 miles lol. This thing is awesome. I sharpened a couple of my benchmades and a Spyderco. Dangerously sharp edges. I can free hand , but this just makes things quicker and easier.
Tools to make our tools even better and save ourselves time are some of our favorites!
@@SMKWcom 100% facts
People that has money always says,"its really affordable ". Being on a fixed income i continue to use my round stone and spit. TC has a great radio voice and thanks guys for this awesome presentation! I've cut myself more times sharpening my knives than when using them!! I Love SMKW!!! Keep it sharp!!
Thanks for watching!
Saw this thing at SMKW booth at the Blade show in Atl. Now I have one
They are awesome and once you get the hang of it easy to use
Alright, now thats pretty sweet. They have definitely listened to their customers plus a couple we didn't even know we needed. That tilt was genius.
Thanks brother for another great video.
FYI
That edge tester is quite sensitive to operator use. It recommends going slowly but my slow and your slow are different. A knife channels did some testing and was able to get 150- 200 difference in cutting sharpness by adjusting his speed. Going slow but a faster slow will change the results. It is a great tool for testing but it is very sensitive to speed/force applied.
Thanks brothers
Thanks for watching and for the tip!
Looks like a great peace of equipment!!
It is a workhorse and a half Mike!
Alright fine take my money
🤣
Pretty cool😊
Thanks for watching Mike!
I will have one of these after Blade Show
TC has had a blast with the one here in office
Nice 👍
🙌🙌🙌
just ordered one from SMKW 😊
Thanks for watching and for the order👍
I'm still having a time with understanding how TC can be in the same room with a fella not knowing how to sharpen out of the womb!
😂
Great job and BIG love from San Antonio.
Thanks for watching!
What’s the thickest blade the clamp can hold.
Thanks,
Dave.

So how does the knife clamp work on Spyderco knives, where the blade gets smaller from top to bottom, AND also from back to tip??
Distal tapers are quite common on knives and swords, and hardly unique to Spyderco. I would imagine that as long as you clamp the blade firmly and don't remove it during the sharpening, the results will be just fine.
I'm a big fan of Spydercos, and have never had issues sharpening them.

Is it better than wicked edge system?
I haven't had the pleasure of using the Wicked Edge system, but I can say that I purchased the Work Sharp unit, and it's phenomenal at less than half price.
They make it look fool proof.
When they make things fool proof they just make better fools, or that's what our dad used to say 🤣
Неплохой станок!,но с TSPROF и рядом не стоит!TSPROF это лучший из лучших!
Scandi friendly?
As with any Scandi Grind, it will take more effort but it will work for them
Amazing, but too expensive. Now it is competing directly with systems like the KME or Wicked Edge. $300 plus. No. Maybe at something like $150 but not at $300.
Thanks for watching
I'm with ya I'm not using my knife enough to justify 300 I can just buy a new knife for that
I have a kme sharpening system. I am seriously considering this one though. This one looks much better put together than my kme... and more features too. I am just concerned with the clamp. We'll see.
If you shop around you can find it for $250. That may seem a lot for the casual knife user, but for people routinely buying knives that cost upwards of $150 it doesn't seem all that extravagant.
@@marksage5722 The clamp is horrible. I have the worksharp professional precision adjust and will be returning it. Knives move all over the place due to the rubber in the clamp and only having one contact point also creates blade flex. I will probable get either a Hapstone RS or TSprof Pioneer to replace it. If you notice, they are very careful how they filmed this video. They made sure to have their hand in front of the knife while sharpening it. You can see the blade movement at 7:45 in the video.
I just got the other sharpener 2mths ago...... Damnit..... Thanks CJ! You SUCK! ROFL!! no no no, thanks guys! awesome video. I'll wait a paycheck and then get this!
For 250 you can buy several good whetstones. Hell, even buy several of the pocket/field sharpeners worksharp makes. You dont need all the extra guides and stuff. Put your own edge on lmand use them
