I just love how there's always something to gain when you listen to a BTS song!

Yes! i love every BTS explanation vids from them but if I'm going to be specific, the ones that really got my attention from them was their explanation for UGH, Daechwita, Ddaeng and Idol. Dope came out the same year and RM used the same terms about giving up in his verse. I like how it is explained in this video giving context to both songs. Nearly 10 years ago, they would have been in their early 20’s. Their friends and siblings would have been experiencing these feelings of being unable to get jobs, affordable housing, etc. BTS would have had a slightly different experience as they had jobs, housing, and other things provided, but struggling to get a foothold in the music industry at the time.
I saw a CZcams video recently with an ARMY members sharing their experience of BTS and how it has impacted their lives. The ARMY in the video said that Bang PD encouraged BTS to speak to their friends for inspiration as their own life experiences were fairly limited within the cocoon of constant work and living in the dorm.
Looking at it now, BTS would be considered the storks and every group coming up after might feel like bapsae, never able to catch up to their level of success.
True. BTS' quality of life and wealth definitely have changed since they were trainees, rookies, or even from 2015, when they released Baepsae. Also, considered their privileged position, especially in the last couple of years when they also got the opportunity to slow down and do their dream jobs at a much more relaxed pace and space to experiment and experience things that most people can't. So calling them storks might be right. However, let's not forget that the issue with the storks isn't mainly the fact that they are privileged, but the fact that they don't acknowledge their own privilege, keep on inflicting more damages on an already crumbling economy and keep on purposely sabotaging and exploiting the baepsaes for their own profit. BTS aren't like that though, both as rich men raising money and awareness for more vulnerable people, and as artists in a business that works thanks to the exploitation of younger/lesser known artists and workers. They have often worked with many professionals that were overlooked for being underground and/or newer on the market, with the only objective of creating something they're proud of rather than what the industry wants. They also work hard to make sure the younger gens live in a healthier work environment and possibly a better world. They are educated on the issues less fortunate people live these days and empathize with them cause they didn't forget where they came from. So rather than making it impossible for other artists to catch up they try to meet them in the middle and boost them up. I'd argue that the ones that try uselessly following the same exact steps to recreate "BTS' miracle" are the ones that are wearing their legs too thin by skipping steps and obstacles instead of finding their own way

I need a 2024 version of 2015/16 Jungkook. The white shirt, jeans and timbs was an iconic era. Also, six of the members are millennials, Jungkook is a GenZ! I love this song, its so good. Other than explaining the lyrics and choreography for this particular song the explanation video for Baepsae is good to know because it also explains some concepts that they refer to in other songs as well. For example crow tits are also used in Not Today and the number of things given up on is also used by RM in Dope.

Ah yes ~ the Baepsae dance practice… One of my very favorites! Not only is it a cool song/beat, but the choreo is awesome, and the meaning behind the lyrics is incredible! BTS is wise beyond their years ~ writing these lyrics at a young age. But they are reflecting society from their vantage point, in a truly amazing way. So glad you guys enjoyed this one. My husband and I are GenX and for decades had planned to invest in real estate to rent single-family houses as passive retirement income - - but this song opened my eyes to the many starter-homes (costing around 100-150K) in my own neighborhood being purchased for rental income, and convinced me to not pursue this dream any further....Young couples and young families around me can't find their own starter-homes to purchase and build equity in because older, financially-established couples are snapping them up and turning them into rentals....the only homes left to buy are the kind you level up into after your family grows further and you've risen higher in income in your career (houses that cost 300-350K)...This is not fair and detrimental to younger generations' ability to build savings and wealth

This song is soooo cathartic for me as a Gen-Z er and I love BTS so much for talking about things like this. It is so perfectly in line with their mission statement to defend and preserve the values and ideals of today's adolescents (values and ideals that, as the explanation video pointed out, today's adolescents are giving up). BTS is just so unafraid of talking about stuff that is real and speaking to the experiences and struggles that people actually go through. No one is doing it like BTS! Also, as a sidenote from a dancer's perspective, as fun and lighthearted as this choreography is, it is also infused with real meaning that is tied to the lyrics which I think is so cool!! (all of the bird-like movements, the hip-thrusts and iconic splits that j-hope does in the live performances make reference to the idiom of a crow-tit literally splitting its legs to catch up with a stork, etc.) -- everything about this song is just so interesting

The reason why they sing for their generations is because they have been through everything they talk about. If you watch how groups like BTS , TXT AND Enhypen startred as trainees it will break your heart. I still remember how when i started being an ARMY i only knew 2 ARMY'S my sister who became an fan the same time as me and my best friend who i introduced to kpop, I remember people asking me whay i even listen to them and i dont even understand what they are saying. There was so much hate on BTS that i would question if those people were human and we would be fight tooth and nail just to stop the hatred. People call us insane and childish for what we do for BTS but they never understand the amount of hatred we had to fight everyday and amounts of times we made their names trend on twitter so that they knew they will alway have us and we will alway fight for them. People used to look down on them and now people love them. I still cry everytime i listen to Born Singer. We've made it but we still haven't been able to stop the hatred....

seeing this old practice room feels nostalgic, it might have been hard to go through everything that time around but as we say old is gold, so many best memories come from there..
I know I shouldn't say this here but I'm fed up with these haters. I've encountered so many hate comments against Jimin that I'm tired and disappointed especially. They pretend to be OT7, but when you show your love and respect for Jimin, they flood your comment box with accusations of being a solo stan and insist that you should love all of them equally. At one point, you start feeling guilty because of their words. But you know what's truly disgusting? They only say these things when someone praises Jimin for his talent and shows love or support. They never do this under comments where people are showing love or praise for any other member, (mostly JK & V). This proves that they are not OT7 or anything but pretend to be, only to spread hate for Jimin or to discourage new ARMYs from praising him by making them feel guilty for expressing genuine admiration or love for him. I wonder how we can stop these people.
