It is so gorgeous up here, we camped out in the back if the truck and just stared at the heavens until dawn! ❤
Hey I’m going this weekend, did you camp in the parking next to the earthen mound? I plan on truck camping and avoiding the public field.
@nyfox1267 we camped / star gazed all evening in the public field. We has plenty of space it really wanted too crowded when we went in the winter. Not sure how packed it gets in warmed months though. Cheers
My friend has a cabin near cherry springs if the sky is clear at night it’s amazing. The longer you look up the more stars you notice farther out in the distance.
Can I visit the park without a reservation? Please
Can't wait to get up that way! Been on the bucket list for years, and this is the year.
Did you get to go yet?
Did u go?
Did you go?
dont wait on anything just go
How do you plan ahead and check the forecast when the forecast has only 2 days...?
Just heard of it today, can't wait to go
Breath taking experience!
Checking for clear skies is impossible when the sites book up months ahead of time. I booked a site in December for August and most of the weekends were full already. Going to have to hope I get lucky.
Were you able to get lucky? I also had to roll the dice and hope the days I booked this July will be clear. Here’s hoping!
Passed the observation place on 44 on many bike trips . can't wait to bring family
Wow. I remember Marissa from Sizerville State Park.
It's a neat place to visit

"Reserve a site up to 11 months in advance"
Uhhhh
Thank you
Very cool..I have the ktm and love it
Can you stay in those white bubbles overnight?? Can you reserve them if so?
How is it now due to Corona?
It is fully vaccinated and no symptoms.
does the park open all year round?
I always wanted to go there, my telescopes would be home.
Would visiting in early November be good?
It's booked through to April 2022 right now :(
@@Psychlist1972why is it preferable to book there? Aren’t there other areas near it you can go for free? Genuinely curious.
@@93theproducer47 I'm not familiar with the area, so I don't know what else is around there. Cherry Springs also has a proper setup for telescopes, including power in the field. Plus, you can legally go there and stay overnight.
No places near me that dark for several hours drive at least.
But… can you grill there?
is this on a mountain?
Yes it is
