the forced gyro is a dealbreaker in splatoon for me. i know a lot of peopel say its more intuitive but i couldn't care less about it personally
also bs the motion controls are way worse than wii. MP remake/remaster is virtually unplayable using only motion.
then you have those maze puzzles in BOTW...or the fact that shaking the controller gave you extra height for certain moves in mario odyssey almost forcing you to use them for certain moons..
sure it had a few good uses but much like the hd rumble feature for 12 switch its more of a gimmick for the sake of trying to be different than sometihngthat improves the experience imho

Its all experimentation, i agree the joy con gyro arn't perfect, but neither were wii motion controls. Honestly gyro is as good as you make it. There are often options to turn of gyro if its not for you, splatoon doesnt force you to use gyro. BOTW was one of the only annoying times I had with gyro.
