- Welcome to the Harz National Park, the legendary mountain wilderness in the middle of Germany. Extensive forests, bizarre rocks, millennia-old moors, pristine streams and the majestic mountain Brocken - that’s all the Harz.
In this video I take you on a hike on the Devil’s Wall from Timmenrode to Blankenburg. The Devil's Wall or Teufelsmauer in german is a rock formation made of hard Upper Cretaceous sandstone that runs for 20 km through the Harz.
We start in Timmenrode following a hiking trail along the rock formations and on the ridge path on the Devil’s Wall to the Grandfather Rock. The hike there and back takes about 4 hours in total and is about 11 km.
Along the way I filmed the most beautiful rock formations and the most beautiful views of the surrounding forests and cities for you. So be sure to watch the video to the end so you don't miss anything, help the channel grow and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Harz National Park and the legendary Devil's Wall.

Hallo Freunde und willkommen im Nationalpark Harz die sagenumworbene Bergwildnis mitten in Deutschland. Ausgedehnte Wälder, bizarre Felsen, jahrtausendealte Moore, ursprüngliche Bachläufe und der majestätische Berg Brocken - das ist alles der Harz.
In diesem Video nehme ich euch mit auf eine Wanderung auf der Teufelsmauer von Timmenrode bis nach Blankenburg. Die Teufelsmauer ist eine aus harten Sandsteinen der oberen Kreide bestehende Felsformation, die auf einer Länge von 20 km durch den Harz verläuft.
Los geht’s in Timmenrode einen Wanderweg folgend an den Felsformationen entlang und auf dem Kammweg auf der Teufelsmauer bis zum Großvaterfelsen. Die Wanderung hin und zurück dauert insgesamt ca. 4 Stunden und beträgt ca. 11 km. Unterwegs habe ich für euch die schönsten Felsformationen und die schönsten Aussichten auf die umliegenden Wälder und Städte gefilmt.
Also schaut das Video unbedingt bis zum Ende, so verpasst ihr nichts, hilft dem Kanal zuwachsen und genießt dabei die wunderschönen Landschaften des Nationalparks Harz und der sagenumworbenen Teufelsmauer.

Hallo Milan. Vielen Dank. Na das mit den Drohenaufnahmen dort war etwas schwierig. Es war windig und es waren viele Leute dort, die dann sich beschwert und groß Theater gemacht haben, wie es sein kann, daß ich über deren Köpfe fliege. Dann habe ich schnell aufgehört, um weiteren Ärger zu vermeiden. Für mich war das keine Menschenmenge und es ist erlaubt dort zu fliegen. Deshalb sind es nur wenige Aufnahmen und auch nicht so gute geworden.

Very interesting how water and wind shaped those rocks, and how they dug that cave in the arch. Those mountains are probably made of limestone.

So ziemlich die gleiche Wanderung habe ich vor einigen Jahren auch gemacht, allerdings sind die andere Richtung und am Ende konnte ich den Sonnenuntergang am Hamburger Wappen genießen! Eine spektakuläre Tour mit einer ganz besondere Natur! Hat mir sehr, sehr gut gefallen und dein Video hat mir tolle Erinnerung geweckt.
