- A first person ride on Line 2 of my metro rail system in my "City Build" Cities: Skylines city. This video captures the metro line going in both directions, switching half way through the video
Made with the "City Drive", "Dynamic Resolution" and "Speed Slider" mods. Supersampled at 200%.

Such a great looking game if you have a machine that can run it. So calming. The game we all wanted SimCity to be.

David Thaler - Seems legit as traffic jams are very common in CS
That actually looks legit, as, first, all metro systems I know operate at an average speed of around 50-60 km/h, second, there is no need to make metro trains to exceed even 90 km/h due to mostly short distances between stations, and last, but not the least, considering that most highway systems operate at around 110-130 km/h the metro train in real life would not overpass the truck going at max speed. Full of logs and not max speed... well it could happen, but still, are there any regular metro trains that operate at speed of higher than 90 km/h? (I mean, they can, but then again, are they regular then?)
The metro/subway train is probably limited to a certain speed and also you have remember that most trains don't have as much traction as a truck. Metal on metal vs. rubber on concrete/asphalt
Daniel K I don't know other subway sistem, but in Milan the metro station are so close that the impression, when you use the metro, is the train can't really start to run becouse has just arrived at the next stop. So I think in Milan the subway's average speed is something around 40 km/h 🤷🏻♂️
So, yes, a metro train is slow than a truck in highway

This is cities skylines with like 800 mods. I need years of dedication to make it look like this. Far from vanilla game.
Get a 250gb SSD, enable Zswap ram compression and lower the graphics settings to below 720p. I run this game Nearly lag free on a 4gb 10 year old laptop, I'm using Xubuntu XFCE also which is about 1/5th the size of windows. I spent 40 bucks... You could also upgrade your ram for a little bit more. Watch what assests you download from the workshop. Some of those files are made by GREAT modders but the file sizes are ridiculously higher than nessecary.
It's amazing to see what actually happens underground in Cities Skylines. This game is limitless with modders and youtubers like you

Really good. The only problem is that there is no real old class in this metro like the London Underground. This just looks all modern.

I can get my metro trains to show up on the tracks. Just people crowding at the stations. No trains at all, just tracks and stations.
You need to make sure the depot is connected to the first station on the line. So the trains can spawn and find their way to the first stop on the line. It has to be closest to the first stop and no other station.
Are you using custom MoM station prefabs or textures? I haven't seen anything like them and they're quite nice looking.
Also, this video proves to me that it's time to start making some more metro stations because man does MoM need more underground station variation...
Undoubtedly Metro Overhaul Mod is one of the best of Cities skylines

Are trains part of a mod or is it built into the game? I've never played this game before and i's thinking about getting it (mostly for building trains)
Trains are built into the vanilla game, but mods extend the possibilities/functionality significantly. The metro tracks for example come from Metro Overhaul Mod. If you are getting the game, make sure to get the PC Steam version since it allows easy modding and has the latest features.

I wonder if you can built all this metro lines but with a express track that goes the same path but skipping some stations, just like the new york subway system
It's possible with trains with this station: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1577964499. For metros you would need to delete the existing station tracks with the "Touch This! Tool" mod and place a center regular metro track and two outer single station tracks. Station tracks can be accessed with the "Find It!" mod.
