  • Ira and his wife lived a life of drug use and dealing, with no sign of slowing down-until the night of their car crash. Shaken up, they decided to enter rehab, which would prove to be the catalyst for God to completely transform their lives!

    The testimony of this man once again declares the power in the Message in The Holy Scriptures, the Bible is the Infallible Word of the Living GOD, in which the Creator himself declares his purpose for the human being, firstly to Jew and then to the Gentile. HaleluYah.

    I find it interesting that many Jews are happy to consider themselves atheists even though atheism is in no way Jewish. But the mere mention of Jesus creates a response of, "But I am a Jew, and I want to remain a Jew!" as if Jesus is not Jewish but atheism is.

      Yes strange. Weren’t all the first followers of Jesus all Jews? But many Jews seem to think that Jesus is a ‘catholic God’. I have to laugh when I hear this.

      You must understand , that is a lie that Satan whispers into their ears. Keep in mind, Jesus’ Jewishness has been hidden from the Jewish people by the Roman Catholic Church for many years. In fact, all the early believers practiced and kept the biblical holidays for almost 300 years before Constantine invented the pagan Christmas & Easter. This is something that we gentile believers in Messiah must war against in prayer and that is why we should use Hebrew terms and celebrate the Resurrection, not the pagan holidays of bunnies and eggs!

    Seems to be quite a few Jews are secular, and even after so much training. Seems they don't have anymore commitment to God than do secular Christians. We are not teaching the best explanation of God and personal connections.

    It's a strange phenomenon how and why people commit to beliefs and how belief can change so quickly. But there is an explanation that can be reasonably applied. Something clicks in the mind, like an epiphany perceived as some mysterious truth. It is fairly easy to provide a causal relationship. Those epiphanies are most often the result of a strong subconscious emotional need. This man already had some sense his life was on the wrong path what made him vulnerable to suggestion. After that church attendance everything came together and the motivation was a strong emotional need. That's one mechanism religion utilizes, preying upon the vulnerable, the emotionally weak. It doesn't usually work with those who are confident about their place in the real world. Once entrapped in religious 'faith' it's usually very difficult to free minds because once one finds some degree of confidence in a belief, no matter how ludicrous it may actually be, that delusion had provided some kind of foundation to stand on. Most people for emotional reasons don't want to abandon such a foundation even when challenged with fact because religious belief promises things the real world can't, such is the case with christianity in particular. Christianity promises not just immortality (for a price) but freedom from suffering, eternal peace, an esteemed position in paradise, etc. But it's a far more authentic life to acknowledge the world as-is and still live a lawful and civil life.

      Hello @msmd3295, thanks for watching and engaging with the video! You raise some astute observations about why some people may choose a belief system or feel compelled to stay in a belief system. However, even if you can accurately detect why someone believes something, that does not mean what they believe is false, even if the reason why they believe something is illogical.
      For example, if a kindergarten student says 2+2=4 not because they know how to do arithmetic and can show the mathematical proofs, but merely because their math teacher told them and for fear that they will get in trouble with their parents if they don’t listen to the teacher, then they are believing something for illogical reasons, but they are still correct.
      Also, the same psychologizing can be done in reverse. I have had atheists explicitly tell me that they don’t want to believe in God or the Bible because that means they can’t sleep with who they want to. Is this logical? No. Is this an illogical reason for being an atheist? Yes. Does it mean they are incorrect in their conclusion? No.
      So even if your psychological analysis is true for everyone who has ever believed in a system of religious belief did so to merely meet an emotional need (which, this is not the case), that does not mean any of them are wrong in their religious conclusions.
      Thank you again for the comment and for watching the video!

      @@ChosenPeopleUSA You're false analogies. Atheism is ONLY a belief there is no supernatural deity. It has nothing to say about values/mores except to perhaps criticize some values simply because others believe them based upon supernatural ideas because the evidence there is no such thing as the supernatural. If one wants to get into values it would be more likely to address the philosophy of Humanism which treasures the value of human life, unlike anachronistic supernatural belief systems that were made up long prior to the scientific revolution [empirical science]. The scientific method has disproven a plethora of ancient beliefs. I have few criticisms to make of those individuals who base their conclusions, lives upon what is empirically, scientifically known or even can be known. There's nothing that can be "known" about the supernatural because conceptually that lies outside the known universe and theoretically cannot even be known by empirical means. So those who believe will never be able to "prove" their beliefs. I was recently watching a series titled "It Ain't Necessarily So", found on Curiosity Stream. Produced by a man held in prison in the Middle East for 5 years and was given nothing but the bible to read the entire time. He read through it twice during his captivity and generated some questions in his mind. He produced the series by going on archeological digs, speaking to various middle-east archeologists and historians. One biblical story investigated was the story of Joshua destroying the city of Jericho. Both Israeli and Palestinian archeologists agree the city of Jericho hadn't been occupied since 200 years BEFORE the time of Joshua and the consensus is the story never happened and was made up for various religious reasons. So the question is... how much else in the bible is make-believe?

    • @marymcdonald3897
      @marymcdonald3897 Před 3 měsíci +1

      I’ll take my chances on the Bible,being the truth, instead some archeologist,probably atheist man ,saying, Jericho wasn’t occupied till 200 years before Josuha . Men that were inspired by “God” wrote the Bible!! Let God be the truth, and all men be liars.Romans 3:4

      @@marymcdonald3897 That's just it... what you believe is ALL chance. And what you believe is the stuff of children's fairytales. I have no idea how old or 'mature' you are but there's a passage in the bible you might want to take more seriously... 1 Corinthinians 13:11. Even if what you believe helps you cope with the real world, it's STILL a fantasy. Do yourself a great justice... at least when you're taking your last breath, at least know there is no soul, no immortality, no reunification with the deceases, no paradise awaiting and put your life into proper perspective and acknowledge you've lived your life based upon a religious delusion.
