Hurricane Sandy: Two Months Later

A video of the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy on the NJ barrier island from Seaside Heights to Point Pleasant two months into cleanup.
There is still a lot of work to be done, but we are strong and we will
overcome. I realize that this video may seem sad - I cried myself while I was out there - but it should also instill hope. Businesses are opening and people are flooding in once again, truly proving that nothing can stop us. It is just the beginning of a long but complete recovery, and if one positive thing came out of this, it's that everyone will be standing side by side to assist in it. The video may be a bit shaky at times - it is raw footage.
The video shows Seaside Heights, Ortley Beach, Lavallette, Ocean Beach, and Chadwick Beach as we drove north from the Toms River Route 37 bridge to check on my house in Chadwick Beach.

Very sorry to hear that. My house is in Chadwick Beach and we were very lucky with only minimal damage. I couldn't imagine losing it - hope you rebuild!

My Family's House, which was right on the beach at Normandy Beach, NJ (Same Island shown here) was still standing, but foundation was badly damaged. It has to be demolished. A lot of memories there, I will miss it. (sniff)

I believe so, but you would have to get in from the north. Route 35 is closed from the Mantoloking Bridge north to Bay Head.

I joined the page 16 hours ago haha I dont think he should be in Jail, but people think that he shouldn't have done that (like my mom) cause he wasn't allowed to do that, but I think he did a good thing

yea your right, and did you here about the guy that climbed the roller coaster in the water, if you didnt a man swam out to the roller coaster then climbed that roller coaster that you zoomed in on, he put an American flag on top. When he came back to land he was arrested. I cant believe that they arrested him for doing that
