Darren is truly an excellent commentator- too bad he plays so well, love to hear more from him!
Oh, hi Darren
1:28:46
“For me, I don’t like kissing balls unless I have to kiss balls.” Wise words.
Appelton had a really good time in the booth. loved to hear them pulling their jokes.
Yes thank you for sharing these videos.
Great match and commentary. Appleton and Incardona provide great insight into the game and pattern play.
Excellent commentary about pattern play, the mental game, how these can affect your stoke and ultimately the outcome. Felt like a coaching session, learned at lot!
These is one of the best commentators ive heard compared to the other old-guy-know-it-all. I think you know who im talkin about. These guys are having fun and that makes it fun to listen too
It's nice to hear the commentary from a guy who is actually playing in this tournament. Not that other people don't know the game, but Appleton will be playing SVB before the weekend is over. That gives his statements a lot more gravitas.
Should be a hell of a match. Thank you for letting us see it.
1:28:47 lovely to know, I could have lived the rest of my life without knowing that
So excited. Let's go SVB!!!!!
That hand shake at the end of the match lol
KJT Clan 🖕😖🤝😛👍 hahaha LET GO Of MAH HAND!!! 😤
deuel knew he didn't really deserve it
1:28:45 Darren; I also prefer not to kiss balls unless I have to kiss balls, but please focus on the match.
So far I nominate Jeremy Jones and Jason Shaw as best commentators for pool matches. Jeremy for his golden pipes especially, and Jason for his ability to tactfully agree/disagree with his fellow commentator and call it right every time. That way I would never have to mute the volume while watching.
1:11:29 the old guy in the back left OMG I died
That's Stu Mattana. Probably the greatest pool historian/repository of general pool knowledge ever.
Great Pool game between Corey Duel & Shane VanBoening. Close game. And both are playing really great I feel. 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🎱
I wish they had an overhead camera angle, much easier to see all the shots
The ceiling wasn't high enough at this event.
Omg what a match! Wow
Billy sure enjoyed himself.
robert meadows 😂😂😂
Thrilling match 🥶
"He's played this text book perfect."
Rattles 8.😆
The one part of SVB's game I can duplicate.
Commentators curse
Really love that channel. That video quality is outstanding. Cuddos to you guys
1:00:26 The importance of leaving yourself enough angle to easily move around the table.
Imagine Nick varner and Darren Appleton in the booth at the same time laughing.😝
@@theabhorrentchef7226 Still around. Big in Europe.
1:28:46 Best comment of the night...."For me, I don't like kissing balls unless I have to kiss balls"
Lmaoo, I laughed when I heard that😂
There's good money in it
Darren said he don't like kissing balls think I would of word it alil different 😅
Nice to see some real pros playing some EIGHT ball for a change. Very different game than rotation, especially the safing side.
And this looks to be a great match up. These two play at such a level where a couple of millimeters of miss or roll on a couple of shots in a 19 game match is the loss side. Incredible pool. Man, did that ball accelerate out of that corner for Shane, OR WHAT? Amazing how much difference a little to much side can generate off two rails like that, especially on the off the second one.
Absolutely
"Running" English has that tendency, right Pat?
Not much “safing” in 8 ball at this level. I think only two safes all match. It’s run out or get run out on. But the outs are much more interesting than in rotation.
Need more 8 ball matches. Its better to watch. The pros actually have to use their brains and make a few mistakes making it more interesting. 9 and 10 ball is way to repetitive and easy for players of their caliber.
@@benkaiser4518 Agreed. Have you ever seen the Bonus Ball series that went on for a bit? It's on YT. I talked to one of the pros that was at the hall one day (while ago, but I think it might have been Justin Hall..was at Clicks, Orlando area) that played in it, and he said it was his favorite game, behind one pocket.
You need to go look up the rules first, or you won't have a clue what is going on, but I really enjoyed it once I figured it out. Many top pros on the teams and a few REALLY good amateurs.
Talk about strategy, whoever came up with it had quite an imagination. Combines almost every pool game there is (except 3 cushion), even has game (and turn) time clocks and stuff, and some aspects of Snooker, too.
One team gets two corner pockets and the opposing side pocket, the other team gets the three remaining..and they are on colors, so the safing is like one pocket, but with two more pockets available...like I said, tons of strategy. Appleton, Strickland, Archer, and many many more played in it. There were two seasons before the money ran out...too bad it did, MHO. They had audio on at least some (maybe all?) of the players, so you can hear them planning strategy and working out patterns...pretty cool.
I, too, am waiting --- !!!
Thanks, Mr. Fleming --- !!!
Gary Kessinger mr. fleming will be inducted into the pool gods some day 💜
Yes, if not as a player ... for his tournament directing / promoting and especially for what ACCU-STATS has done for all pool lovers --- !!!
@@wombra8314 GOOD NEWS! Pat is a member of the BCA Hall of Fame.
CAL7A 🔥~ 👋🏻🎱👄🎱🤚🏻 awesome!
Hits the the rail 9/9 dam he’s going to remember that one
Loved the commentary too, thank you Accustats!
After watching Corey's legendary run out on a Chinese 8 Ball table, I kind of wonder whether anyone can beat him at this game. IMO, it's as impressive as Melling's run out.
YES OF COURSE COREY LOSES AT 8 BALL. PLENTY OF TIMES. WATCH THE ACCU-STATS VIDEOS. VIDEO POSTED LAST WEEK SHOWS HIM LOSING AT THIS TOURNAMENT.
“I don’t like kissing balls unless I have to kiss balls” PAUSE
Earl Strickland, great temperament hahaha
You commentators really crack yourselves up don't you?
Better than having mike sigel rambling on in there
@@noahpatton4632 Roger that!
Great comment I literally scrolled down to read as they were just fucking chuckling over each other’s comments...
Bro that Toshinoma bit @57:00 had me laughing so hard! Lmfao
Me too 🤣 I swear I couldn’t understand him either, I thought it was an Asian guys name too 😂
1:11.28 guy is straight up asleep in backgound..
Darren Appleton was great, needs to do more commenting. Both Corey and Shane need to do a lot of walking around to make sure they're alive. Lots of bad shots by both players...
i really thought corey had lost his nerve
Both players are genius.
who's the nicely dressed women at the end of the table? she's at all the events?
Apple bee is awesome
I'd love to watch these guys play 10-ball in the back room for big $.
is that simon cowell in the audience lol
Anyone notice Corey break cue is his playing cue and it breaks good as well 🤷🏽♂️
O
It is because Corey hits very soft on the break because he does a second ball break. You can afford to hit a lot softer on the second ball break and need a lot more cue ball control due to low and/or left that you put on the cue ball to try and make it go back into the rack. That is a lot harder to do with a harder tip that generally comes on a break cue. So the shot is not damaging to his cue or cue tip like it would be if he hit hard.
wonder how much shane won on the side bet. No way he misses that last shot.
My thoughts exactly. Corey doing stupid shit is given, but Shane looks very sketchy here.
i'm sorry but shanes blunder in game 9 was because he overspun the cue ball, i'm certain shane would agree. this happens on that shot when you're careless and shane is usually better than that. for darren and the other commentator to agree that it has to do with how the table is playing is nonsense! i suspect darren was just trying to give the other guy an out for saying it hit the point when it was actually and obviously close to a foot away. good match though.
1:28:46 lol Darren
😂🤦🏼♂️
I've given up on avoiding double entendres when talking about pool. I just try to keep my balls clean and my shaft slick and stroke away.
Damn it. I’m an amateur man😩
Game 14 where the stripes and solids separated to the two halves of the table was the classic Corey Deuel, “cheater rack.” I surprised they haven’e somehow made that illegal. They should outlaw having all the balls of the same flavour lined up in the forth row.
Game 14 which Corey racked was an 8 ball break, and the fourth row was 14-9-2-10, 3 stripes and one solid. And incidentally the table was pretty well spread out, with the groups mixed.
I've never seen shane miss so much in a match wow
The 8 ball Shane missed if u watch the replay the ball skidded this is something u can clearly see it was so to English but he didn't mean to do it.earl talks alot about balls skidding and people assume he's just full of bs
WTG Corey
Hey there's Stu
darren uhhhh..pleton
Can't stand it when announcers talk at the same time
hit mute
Corley Dueley
The 2 ball Shane missed was Couse he put to much forward English on it not because he hit it to hard.
Corey beats everybody!! 🎱
As a "purist" watching this match, I cringed every time they broke.
I'm talking about the effects of the "magic rack" on slow-moving balls.
Sometimes, slow-moving balls actually REVERSED directions from where they were headed.
I suppose, some people would say they're both using the "magic rack", so "it'll all even out in the end".
To me, it's not much different than having a cube of chalk being on the table, then saying, "Well, the next game, we'll put a cube on your table".
To my way of thinking, there shouldn't be ANYTHING on the table except for the balls.
Commentators talk way too much, and honestly add nothing for the viewers. Watching with mute is better.
Agreed! Point On, bro. I've resigned to muting them and playing music while watching. Best regards, Joe from FL.
SVB wasn't there mentally.... 😕
nor was corey...
Shane was there mentally for the side bet on his loss :)
That piece of paper is not a rack!
Always feels like SVB and Deuel doesn't get along.
I know what you mean but i think it's only because shane always beats him!
@@licoricesaffron Not always. I´ve seen another 8 ball match between then and Shane got beaten
Probably stems from that goat roping that Shane put on him in that 2007 TAR Invitational 10-ball match. 😎
Corey was THE MAN among U.S. pros until SVB came along and stole his thunder. Probably always been a little bitter over that. And as mentioned SVB thumping him in 2007 changed pool forever.
dnSnake : Thats a lie you commented. Cory & Shane are good friends. 2 thumbs down on your comment. 👎👎🇺🇸🇺🇸🎱
*WHERE ARE THE AUDIENCES IN THESE TOURNAMENTS? REASON WHY THERE ARE ZERO SPONSORS. NO CROWDS, NO GENERAL PUBLIC TO SEE ADVERTISING, BUY THE PRODUCTS*
are the people in the gallery with headphones on listening to the commentary?
yes
Obviously pro pool players are the best in the world. I get that, but let's see them play on some of the junk that, we amateurs have to play on like tables that haven't been anything done to for 4 or 5 years, the dirty, the nasty tables that we amateur players play on. Don't keep changing the rules. Make the tables harder to play on by not recovering them with new rails.Let them play on mud tables like we play on.
1:28:47 💋 🏀
He doesn't like to do it unless he has too, but he is willing to kiss balls.
αυτος ο αγωνας φαινεται ψευτικος... Οι αντιδρασεις τους ειναι παρα πολυ υπερβολικες;
Is it my interpretation or do these guy's have issues, no enjoyment? Classic best rivalry pressure chance good com.
I don't understand what you're trying to say
Neither of them looked like they were having a lot of fun. I think it was Shane being frustrated because he dogged a few shots and Corey because he struggled to capitalize on Shane's errors. Neither of them were having their best day at the table. They usually seem to be happier.
They do have a bit of a rivalry, but I think most players do become more serious when playing in a tournament environment, there's more pressure and more at stake than usual.
Dont see how either one can focus with those shirts.
Haha, no idea why they keep dressing like race drivers. They look like clowns.
I think Corey deserved to win. He really outplayed Shane. If he hadn’t missed those two 8 balls he would have won easily. Good come back Corey!
He missed two 8 balls and he lost.. that means he didn’t play as well as shane lol
@@toddrobertson1398?

1:03:27 lol everyone hates on corey for being creative. his creativity caused salty foos to hyper-regulate and ruin 9 ball.
Ought to mute the commentators
I disagree
@@user-hh9ni8su3p Billy incardona talks way too much, and over Darren far too much. Other than that I like Darren commentating.
Thats so obvious to me that Shane let him win...
In a big event, not likely... even the best in the world have bad days.
Sorry, no! I was there. Corey wanted to do bumpers on the prize money. Many of the players agree before the match on what usually is a 75-25 or 70-30 split. Shane refused. Given all the money Shane gets in sponsorships, it seemed kind of selfish. It got to both players. Watch to the end you'll see Corey not letting go of Shane's hand. He's reminding him how his greed got him $0
Fixed match, Shane bet on Corey? :) I've never seen Shane playing so bad.
1:28:46 🤣😆
What she said.
that rack thing is ruining pool
Dan Conway rack thing lol 😂👍 i hate seeing balls diverge off it 😡🐛
So many times people leave it on the table instead of picking it up, or it sits on the rail dangling over the playing surface. Is an imperfect rack that bad? It's not that hard to get a decent rack if the cloth is in good shape.
It's not a rack its garbage bring back the vacurack!
Get this trash out of all pool!
Billy PLEASE be quiet!!! Horrible commentator!
The best we ever had!
Billy is one of the best
What Billy is great...
I always enjoyed listening to Billy
Accu stats has the worst communtery.
Edit- i meant BEST!
it's just a couple bad apples.,,,. pun now intended lol. accu stats is king. i think the danny D pairing is legend. it's the JJ's that NEVER stfu and seem to be getting paid by the word. ....narrating every revolution of the ball ffs
Your spelling is the worst.
Terrible announcers.
Incardona and Appleton talked entirely too much during the match. Very distracting - very annoying. I jumped after the first 7 racks I jumped ahead to the last rack just to seen the outcome and to get around all of that chatter.
51Dss wtf the players and the commentators together make for compelling viewing if you don’t want world class pool and commentary watch the billiard brothers you channel.they show some nice tournament’s without commentary
I disagree. I think they provided informative commentary.
Then turn it down..listen to Appleton. You might learn something
