NOTE: I failed to explain the house rule I'm using for movement. When I activate my engines I roll 2 dice and take the higher value.
Tier 1 engine: 2d6
Tier 2 engine: 1d8 and 1d6
Tier 3 engine: 1d12 and 1d8

I'm really looking forward to this game. I would have bought the level 3 engines early. You had the money and had a cube to sell. That way you would be moving a d12 instead of a d8. Thank you for a good look at how the new rules will work.

You had a note indicating the scoundrel should have gone through a planetary shield. Unless the solo trikes changed this I don't think the scoundrel can even enter Lunari since it is a lawful planet and NPC's don't enter through planetary shield unless there is no other way.
+Glen DeKorne in the Solo FAQ it's clarified that the Scoundrel will attempt to sneak through the planetary shield of a lawful planet to get to you. Not sure if this is a deviation from the regular game or a clarification on the way things were supposed to always operate.

Hi, question, I'm thinking about buying the orig game, noticed it is 3-5 players. Is it doable with 2?
I've played a number of times with two players and I think it plays really well. The one issue is sometimes it can feel like the board is a little empty and there's alot of distance between the two players. However, for the most part the NPC ships will help alleviate that.
The other thing to keep in mind is alot of the missions will tell you to go after "the person on your left" or something similar to that. Just always look at that as "the other player."
Also, if you take a look here www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgameexpansion/199329/xia-embers-forsaken-star at the expansion you'll see they've adjusted it being for 1-5 players. There's a solo option in the expansion but more to your question they now include "2" as a viable player count.

I only bought my copy 2 days ago and haven't played it yet. It will be interesting to compare the solo variant with the official solo missions included in the expansion coming out next month, and maybe there'll be a way for 2 players to play them.

Yes the first time each gate is used a FP should be awarded for sure. Definitely possible I missed it. Can you give me a time stamp?

+bonewalker 1127 I'm using a house rule where you roll 2 dice when activating an engine and take the higher value. For a tier 1 engine it's 2d6, tier 2 is 1d8 and 1d6, and tier 3 is 1d12 and 1d8.
I explained this near the beginning of the video when I filmed it originally but that clip must have accidentally hit the cutting room floor. Thanks for pointing that out! I'll add it to the description.
oh i see, we do the same but just roll the same die two times, im happy that the expansion helps with that with that mod component. xD
