- This video shows our quick, but very enjoyable time exploring Armenia.
We spent a few days staying by peaceful Lake Sevan, enjoying the mini beach and trying traditional Armenia food!
We also had to see Armenia's capital whilst we were here.
Yerevan is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world, dating way back to 782 BC. It is also Armenia's largest city, and is full of both modern and ex-soviet influenced architecture.
Before we ventured into the city, we visited the Armenia Genocide Memorial and Museum. The museum provides a very thorough history of the suffering of the Armenian people, and it is truly a humbling and eye opening to learn about a part of history less talked about. We definitely recommend spending at least a couple of hours there to take it all in.
From the museum we headed straight into the main city. We wandered around Yerevan's busy Northern Avenue, to the Republic Square and took a sip from the famous seven springs Pulpulak! We then headed through Vernissage market (again hunting for a magnet!) before looping back up to the Cascade.
Massively overestimating our fitness levels (and how many stairs are in the Cascade), we decided to race to the top! This was a terrible mistake and we paid dearly for it! However 750 stairs later and we were at the top. Unfortunately it was too hazy to catch a glimpse of the famed Mt Ararat, but the climb was worth it for a final view of Yerevan.
Thank you for your warm comments. However, your comment about genocide is not accurate. It happened as a result of mass killings by Turks, not as a result of a war. It. Is crucial to know and emphasize this as it is being denied by Turkey and her satellite countries
Besides, it is being continued by turks in our days, becuase it was not so widely spread and was recognized by major states...
Thank you for your video! ❤❤❤ Armenia is so beautiful, unique and ancient! ❤ hope to visit it soon 🤞🏻
It really is. We were amazed by its beauty, lur only regret was that we couldn't spend longer there. Hopefully in the future!

Thank you for watching 😊
eye-opening? If you want to have correct information, I recommend that you also research the opposing views. Unfortunately, Armenians died in the winter conditions of forced migration in the first world war. It is the massacre of the Turks by the Ottoman Armenians that started these sad events. Also, if you want to have information about the genocides, I recommend you to research the Khojaly genocide (azerbaijani: xocalı).
That's a B.S. All the information and facts about genocide are shown in Genocide Musium and they are VERIFIABLE!!!. Different sources state that it was a well planned deliberate action against native Cristian population. Dozens of diplomatic reports, foreign journalists, hundreds of photos. Even turks were not hiding that and were talking about it with pride. They didn't know that their grandchildren like you would have a very big problem with that ))) And to silence this crime you started to create a lot of lies and "khojali" is one of them. Everybody laughs at you.
Turkey 's policy of denying the genocide of the Armenian people , as well as the Greek and Assyrian , does not stand up to any criticism .As far as I can tell , you are just a victim of Turkish state propaganda . My wish to you and also to all those countries that paint pictures of a " pure " past ,is always only one : LOOK AT YOUR PAST WITH WIDE - OPEN EYES. You need in it more than Armenians, Assirians or Greeks .
