      No Marx or Pollard for the Boks were huge last time Ireland and SA played. We also have players missing this time around. Steven Kitshoff, Damian Willemse, Jean Kleyn, Lood DeJager, are all great players. I think Cameron Hanekom would have played in the Wales, and Ireland tests. Kwagga Smith at 8 was tried and tested, and failed dismally when starting.
    Kwagga doesn't have the sheer mongrel power of a Wiese or Vermulen in his prime, he invariably doesn't have a good exit strategy from restarts and we concede a lot of possession with him at 8, coz Faf has to do a clearance box kick from behind the advantage line.
    Buthelezi, Jean Luc, even the erratic Roos could've done the job that needs to be done for that first 40min.
    Also Kwagga is the best impact sub in the world, what he brings off the bench is match winning impact.
    I don't agree with Kwagga at 8.
    Would've loved to see Fassi at 15

      I dont know about you but Kwagga is Powerful and he is strong like an Ox, he is our best forward. Buthelezi dont have Kwaggas power. Kwagga is the definition of Mongrel power. He takes his player to the Gutter and he goes to the dirty places where no player wants to go. He was literally playing 8 when we won the B&I lions series.'

    • @blaquenguni9249

      @@jadenphilander8799he's a high IQ player, he's always looking for space, running at angles, offload, support rubbing, quick to the ruck etc, yes he's strong, but his game doesn't eveolve around his power. Evan Roos doesn't do much else except knock defenders out of his way. Which is important vs Ireland off the restarts.
      Go watch what Wiese was doing vs Ireland at the World Cup last year, then watch how Kwagga plays on Saturday at RESTARTS... can he drag 2 or 3 defenders with him, hold the ball up for a a second extra, get a few meters which in return sets up a better clearance kick for Faf?..

    • @jadenphilander8799
      @jadenphilander8799 Před 4 dny

      @@blaquenguni9249 Thats exactly why I want Kwagga to play, because he does drag 2-3 defenders with him, I saw this in the world cup and I saw this against NZ as well...This Guy is the real deal, he can also beat his defender with a step. He also has a much higher work rate than Wiese and Wiese is not the most intelligent of players, he has a habit of going blank. Kwagga is our best forward, trust Rassie. I have watched him for years now.

      @@jadenphilander8799 let's see what happens Saturday. Remember all your memories of Kwagga from the World Cup are of him coming off the bench, it's a different ball game vs a fresh Van Der Flier or Furlong or Caleb Doris etc, why sacrifice the world's best impact sub for a decent enough 8. Instead of letting a madman like Roos grind them for 40min then let Kwagga work his magic to close out the game and the win?..
