  • I think too many people take USA for granted. This is the greatest country on the planet, but it seems that patriotism is out of fashion. #immigrantsgetit #crazyrussiandad

Many people risk their lives to come to the USA to get a better life. Americans, please don't take this privilege for granted.

There's a saying, the grass is always greener over there. Or по-русски the neighbours grass is always greener, У соседа трава всегда зеленее. It essentially means people are never satisfied. 👍😎

THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS. IT ANGERS ME. especially when our military fights to keep democracy, and to keep us safe, happy and free. We are here for immigrants to escape the dictator and socialism and communism. Its not just for Americans, its for immigrants to be free and live happily, and have a education and a great job. It doesn't matter what financial status is, we are all created equally. Dirt poor can become filthy rich. And it happens, ive seen it happen.

“To criticize one’s country is to do it a service and pay it a compliment. Criticism, in short, is more than a right; it is an act of patriotism-a higher form of patriotism, I believe, than the familiar rituals and national adulation.” -Senator J. William Fulbright, "Arrogance of Power" speech at Johns Hopkins University, 1966

@@gurbanoglu5143 As a scholar of US politics and history, all I can do is try, lest we repeat the darkest periods of our own history once again. This subject also immediately reminded me of Margaret Smith's 1950 speech in the Senate, with McCarthy sitting two rows behind her as she delivered her remarks:
"Those of us who shout the loudest about Americanism in making character assassinations are all too frequently those who, by our own words and acts, ignore some of the basic principles of Americanism: the right to criticize. The right to hold unpopular beliefs. The right to protest. The right of independent thought."
-Senator Margaret Chase Smith, "Declaration of Conscience," 1950

I don't hear your criticism for the current biden administration policies of open borders, supply chain crisis, high gas prices, higher costs of every commodity and services, sending doj against American parents who complain about their kids being raped by transgender students, using fbi to cover up biden crime family business dealings with China and other corrupt nations, using doj to prosecut innocent President Trump and family.. yet to get to democrats in congress who are in the pockets of the Chinese communist party.

I completely agree. Just blindly believing that your country is always right can lead to it's downfall. It is good to point out where it is lacking as a way for it to improve. The ability to have this right is what makes the US and other democratic countries so great.
