Spector will be my next bass. Can only afford the $600 Indonesia model, but should be a good shoot out with my $500 Schecter Stiletto. Spector has a nice growl to it.
i love both, but for the deeper tone its spector for me. warwicks tone is crisp but that's why it sounds thin to me, it's a little bit too clear or "woody"...spectors sound is just perfect the mix of grit and the low-end tone. Perfect! always have been a spector guy
@@tiltil9442 the process was the opposite: I had a Warwick cause I liked more than the Spector (tried both). And what about you? Did you spent money on Spector using your own point? 😏. Btw I do like Spectors, I just rather choose a good Warwick over a good Spector, thats it.
I just bought a Spector Eurobolt 4, and I’ve had this warwick i traded for a tattoo 10 years ago. Its a Warwick Rockbass Corvette. The warwick has a deeper sound with more sustain than the Spector. Maybe its just my Spector. I do love Spectors more. But my warwick shits on that Spector 24/7. I’ve also played live with both and everyone things its my pedal or amp that makes my warwick so LOUD. Now I know its just the Warwick
Funny I found this, Spector & Warwick are tie for my #1 favorite bass brand. In this video Spector may have better high-end, but Warwick has much better warmth & natural sound to it. Hhmmm, I'll call it a draw. These 2 are better than any other bass brands out there in my opinion
Mids are way too scooped and lows too boosted in these demos. I own both, and love each for their own voicing. As an owner, I'd say the Spector is punchier but more hi fi sounding and the string spacing tighter, while I prefer the feel and string spacing on my Warwick and the classic Warwick "growl".
pjmuck the eq was not changed from the standard 12 o’clock settings to record the video, and no post production was made on final mix. Maybe it’s just a matter of phone speaker or headphones.
While I like the focused, darker tone of the Spector, the Warwick has a richer sound to my ears. The burble and growl of the Streamer is awesome, but it's difficult to say which one would sound better in a mix. Solo, I'm grabbing the Warwick.
I have owned over 25 Spectors( some cost me over $5k) and multiple Warwicks…Warwicks have a better bridge and nut system, Spector has the better pre-amp…For the money I say Warwick!
These are two guitars, like the separated Seames twins. But the Warwick has no middle (more often) - yes to whom it is generally needed XDXDDXD And a lot of clang -yeah - thet what you love. And Warwick marketing is better. The Spectator has a soul
I can definitely assure you that the guy from the music shop used just the rig you can see in the video (not even an eq mod from the amp)! So I guess that is the sound of those particular instruments.
I guess this turns all jazz basses to crap, exept for the all mighty original fender. BTW, Spector got this design from Ned Steinberger. I love both spector and warwick.
Wrong, The Streamer is a true Warwick design. Stuart Spector worked as a Luther for The Warwick Company before he started his own company and later refined the NS design to improve it. "Who copied who ?"
Matías Wainer Ferreyra considering it’s a sound tutorial and that there’s no music, I don’t understand what mix you’re referring to :) Thanks for your time anyway!
@@Antonio_Capra you're welcome. I wasn't talking about this particular situation. When you hear those basses in a band context they disappear very often. It may be the modern bass sound that emphazises bass and treble frequencies letting mids aside. I don't know exactly.
You do a really crap job of identifying these basses. In the beginning you hold them side by side and the Spector is *clearly* the one with the fret markers, which we later learn is the black bass. And yet while you are playing the black bass, you zoom in on the Warwick headstock!!! So frustrating.
the “zoom”, as you call them, are just b-roll clips, which are related to the bass guitar the guy is playing. I don’t really get your complaint, and i find it futile, just writing nonsense just to fill up your spare time.
I love both brands but, I hated both of them in this video
Yeap, that's the way how to play a warwick czcams.com/video/hXBmxCJED_M/video.html
Spector! Even though i love both. Spector has that darkness to its tone, its beastly and warm.

I honestly think the exact oposite. spectors sounds much thinnier and crispy. warwicks (NTs) much deeper and with sustain.

Warwick headstocks look super cool with the tilted tuners.

warwick sounds like it has a little more grit to me. awesome video!
Mitch Lamm many tnx!

Some Yamahas and MusicMans are fairly usable, tho.
I own a spector. But in this video, Warwick wins! More open tone and high are less harsh than spector. Make me questioning my choices now.
Does it really, tho?
warwick. clearer and more presence
Really?
Amazing video! The Spector with those high mids gets my vote.
Specter sounded closer to being ready for a mix.
SPECTOR.!!! for life
\m/
Warwick is more killer deep nice lows the other has more armonics prescence spector is more like heavy metal but Warwick is more rock
Absolutely agree. Spector more grit and attitude. Warwick warmer, rounder sound. Heavier bottom.
ah, the classic battle…! 😎
PJ Rubal here…check out Stuart Spector’s new instrument company, Esopus Guitars! basses & guitars.
Spector
I actually like the Tang of the Warwick more
Cool!
Thanks 🙏🏼!
Spector's got the Nards. Both are beautiful though.

Spector for sure.
I use both because that NS body shape is comfortable. Why compromise?
Spector but Sperctor Euro 4 White this is my dream
Yeo!!!!! Me too!!!!!
Spector without question.
Los dos. 🎸🤘🏽
A better comparison would be German Warwick/USA Spector
I'll tell that to Bassline Music Shop Guys. Maybe they'll produce some new videos ;)
Cheers!
Czech standard neck-thru LX vs Warwick's top-of-the-line handmade boutique workshop stuff.
those MEC on the warwick growl

Wow the body shape is almost identical
Warwick's "Streamer" is a copy of the original Steinberger/Spector design. Until that lawsuit they even used the same headstock shape.
Who came up with that NS design first?
Steve Blanco Musician Warrior I don’t know , sorry
I looked it up. It was Ned Steinberger and Stuart Spector.
Spector!
Heem.... quali modelli?

INFATTI! SONO QUASI UGUALI. IO DICO WARWICK E SPECTOR
SPECTOR
Hahahahah, Original vs Copy(80'copy). Remember, if Spector would have not existed, Warwick would just be Framus.
mi è piaciuto di più lo Spector
Spector all the way
WARWICK warwcick more warwick sound of wood
The spector grate!!!
"The Spector will sit in the mix better"...

Specter in my heart

I've owned both and I have to disagree - IME the Warwick has mids for days and the Spectors are way too sterile.
Spector.

supreme warwick bass

I agree
Me too!!
Warwick! però manca lo Slap!
The Spector does SOUND COOL but I’ll take a Warwick ALL DAY EVERYDAY!! 🤙🏽

they didnt steal it ...they licensed it

Spector EASY! Except for with the pick. For some reason that pick brought that Warrick out better
I like US Spector (other ones are very bad) but here the Warwick sounds more "defined" more "precise".
I don't know, Euros are pretty damn nice. I actually want to try the Euro Classics they just released.
Most of the Asian ones don't sound nice. I don't care for costly US stuff. Doug Wimbish is leading the way with that fine "Czech" tone :)
