    On the Free version, I just spoke with CubiCasa and they clarified this is only free in the US. My apologies to my international viewers. I asked if they are planning on a free version outside of the U.S., and although not right now, they may in the future. Perhaps with enough feedback they might consider it, so feel free to leave a comment in this thread so that I can pass that along to CubiCasa

    Thanks so much for this recommendation. I did a practice run on my house and I expected a hot mess, because I submitted a hot mess. My dogs were running in and out of the video, it kept telling me I was too close, too high, too ________. I didn't think there was any way it could possibly return an accurate result.... but it came back 100% accurate. I am so impressed!

    We have been using Cucbi Casa for about 2 years now and are amazed at how accurate it is. We occasionally shoot a complicated home that when finished we say, "there is no way Cubi Casa can get this right", or "Good Luck Cubi Casa". We have been very impressed many times. For example, we recently scanned an older home and could not get within 25 feet of one side of the basement as it was so cluttered. We took a scan of the farthest wall by angling the photo up above the clutter and BAM... Perfect! We are very impressed. Glad to see you like it, Nathan!

    Awesome, thanks, CubiCasa looks amazing, I didn't know this was even a thing, I am paying $100 a year for software to create floorplans manually, going out to properties and manually measuring with a tape measure.

    Thanks Nathan, I've always wondered about cubicasa and magic plan. The one issue that is most important to me was not addressed in your review. That is accuracy. I have measured hundreds of homes with a hand held laser, and hundreds more with the iGuide camera. Both use a lidar laser for the measurements. There are some jurisdictions that require a high level of accuracy. I don't believe the camera based measurements can provide that. Having a total square footage value for a home that I can trust is important.

    • @NathanCoolPhoto
      @NathanCoolPhoto  Před rokem +7

      You're very welcome! Accuracy is listed on CubiCasa's website, which runs 95-97%, and they do use Lidar when available on the phone/device. here's a link to that to learn more: www.cubi.casa/support/troubleshooting-guide/how-accurate-are-your-plans

    Not sure how I found this video, but sure glad I did. I just wanted a floorplan of my house and got all the bad prompts when walking through house but adjusted accordingly. Curious what the outcome will produce as my basement and garage are pretty packed, especially nears the walls. Thanks for making this video.

      Thought I would give a comment on the results. WOW, JUST WOW. with all my mess ups as first time user, all the obstacles and this tool nailed my floorplan. Granted I didn't pull out a measuring tape to see how accurate, but its close enough if not exact plus or minus a little.

    I just tested it on my own home, very impressed how it produced the plan, however no free option is displaying, it says 9.99, plus 10.00 for fittings etc, if it’s 10.00 all in it makes it worthwhile, as I use a online program called metropix and sketch manually, then create the floorplan in the program, but it takes a while, although it’s instant & I get 20 plans a month for around 75 dollars, but this could save me so much time, probably several hours a day.

      @@NathanCoolPhoto thanks for the reply, yes I’m in the UK, CubiCasa also replied confirming what you’ve said about only the US being free, I therefore may only use it for larger complex properties as it’s a difference of 125 dollars a month, which doesn’t seem that bad, but does if you say 1500 per year. I also average 25-30 plans a month. However I’m going to use it on x3 today & if the time saving is worthwhile I’ll probably bite the bullet as I’ll only need to do x1 extra small photos only shoot a month to compensate for it & out in the field I’d probably save time, whereby I could fit in another shoot anyway, also it’s less equipment to carry, no graph paper, clip board, pencils & laser measure etc.
      I’m going to also manually produce the floorplans and compare them against each other, send you a link with them for your review & you can also compare and maybe use for future videos etc, if you ever do an update.

      Ah, I see. If you are doing real estate photography for money though, then you are a business and probably should have a VAT; it's just part of starting a business in the UK/EU. Once again though, I think it would be best if you emailed support at CubiCasa to see if there are any other options or recommended steps you should take, there email is help@cubicasa.com

      It depends. Agents can do them just as easy as we can, so if they REALLY want me to do it for them, then charge at least one hour of your on-site time. If you're not sure what you're on-site time is, you really need to calculate that for all of your work and add-ons, and this can help: amzn.to/3GQ34Ku
