  • We discuss the new AAE Hybrid vanes. We fit them to a set of arrows and discuss how to fit, how they work. Then straight after fletching we go and shoot the arrows with the AAE Hybrid Vanes to see how they perform.

    I just fletched a set of arrows with the hybrids and they did really well. I haven't talked to the guy that I did them for yet so I don't know results yet. But when I shot them there was no way that they were going to come off. Great review. Keep up the great work.

    I've been shooting the AAE HYBRID 2.3 vanes on my black eagle PS23 arrows and absolutely love them!! Great flight characteristics and very durable!! 🏹🏹🏹

    Hi Steve, great video. I have to agree with how well these vanes stick. I've used arrow wraps and there's no way these vanes are coming off of them. I've used AAE fastset gel. I've found the actual vanes to be not forgiving when shooting a tight group. My first shoot i've already damaged a few of them. To me these vanes seem like a type of foam. No where durable as the Blazers i've used for the past year. Flight is good. I'll show you them when i'm next in. Keep up the good work.

    I've never had any trouble getting any brand of fletch to stick, including all the different AAE types. I use acetone to clean the base no matter what and loctite 406 glue, I've never used any of the weld or primer pens and never had any issues what so ever.

    get you some loctite ultra gel..its flexable high impact.. whipe the arrow shaft and vane base with alcohal it dont matter what kind of shaft or vane..stick it on and its there till you cut it off..

    I had issues sticking vanes on carbon ones no matter where they came from until I switched to AAE max bond glue on a suggestion. I don't think I lost a vane since.

      weird I use cheap 5 pack super glue on carbon with aae and blazers.. and have had no lift or sticking issue , but had issues with max bond .

    • @PurpleDracos
      @PurpleDracos Před 3 lety

      @@travistwwreck1535 I think I was told by a professional I talked with and the shop I go to on carbon ones Easton changed the coating which left the surface much smoother with less for the glue to grab on and they were having issues as well which is when AAE max bond was suggested as the professional had used it across many different carbon types without issue. I have tried a lot of cheap glues over the years but now put my hand in my pocket for platinum for my woods lucky I have a six arrows jig or it would take for ever waiting for the glue to go off, and max bond for my carbons.

    I've used about every vane made without issue BECAUSE I wiped the base and arrow shaft of everyone. I use 91% alcohol or higher. 70% alcohol won't work. The new TAC vanes are a pain and I won't mess with them again EVER! Too stiff and the damn bases are narrow as hell.

    Tried X-vanes, ICE vanes, Blazers - settled on HEAT vanes, love them for 3D. Like the look of these but hard to find in UK.

    I had an issue using AAE max vanes last outdoor season because I didn’t have a primer pen available in time. Vanes kept falling off no matter how much I prepped and sanded the shaft before gluing. Seems they fixed that issue with these.

      Day In hell Im going to sand my carbon Victory vap elite arrow shafts 400s , clean them a warm damp cloth and that's It most times I don't even do that.. never had a problem with vanes not sticking , hell some times I swear they are to hard to get off, and thats when you have to be real care full removing them...I use pine ridge archery Instant arrow glue super fast set..be care full with It It sets fast.....maybe Archery supplies has It.I even used gold tip but im out also....

    First time ever but the sound volume was very low 🤷‍♂️
    There is def a difference in vane size when you shoot farther than 20 yds all the time! Long range grouping tells the tale.
    You’ve claimed before that fletching: missing and torn still hit the center 🤷‍♂️ maybe... 😂 not so at longer distances!!!
    Try that at 80 or 100 yards!
    AAE lick and stick vanes and glue are an extremely good product as claimed!

    hi,
    i started 2 years ago and i'm actually preparing the material for the next indoor season (recurve), i'm not a champion but i'd like to have a a better stable flihgt with solid vanes (from impacts)
    i shoot 26 # limbs and my draw length is 29" and i'm changing my first arrows (700 skylon radius) to brixxon (650, 700 ?) but which vanes for 18 meters ?
    bohning x vanes, impulse vanes, 1,75 or 2,25" length ?
    so, what

  • @daveeagling9372
    @daveeagling9372 Před 3 lety

    I’m pretty sure you don’t need glue with AAE Hybrid. The adhesive is already applied, you just lick and stick.
