@@Gordypow I mean, Koji Kondo is working on it, so that's a good sign at least. I feel like they definitely are going to have more fitting music for the finished product, and I can't wait!

You'd think so but he's not. There's an ad out there for the 3DS where he did the Mario voice through the whole thing and it got old very fast.
I think it might be very hard to make him to do the Mario voice for the whole movie

@@Gordypow Yeah! Something I specifically noticed was that Mario's yell was silent when Toad popped up and surprised them. I wonder if that's just a case of them wanting everyone to be heard clearly or if it's because that particular yell isn't Chris
I was expecting the worst when the movie was announced, but the trailer left me pleasantly surprised. Then I watched your version and I'm just kind of disappointed.

Hoping they chose some Mario galaxy themes like the final battle theme in SMG2. Cause they said they were working on it so I’m crossing my fingers they chose that

finally, a movie where the characters don't have skinny legs.
Super Mario 64 sounds give a more real feel to the movie. But either way overall it is good. While Chris Pratt voice isn't perfect and overall good if not amazing, there were better ways they could have made the voice of Mario iconic in the movie. I think Jack Black did really well with the voice.

Video game movies back in the days never got good reputations, but over the years they improved a lot in quality and people did their homework in adaptation films and there are some with decent installments. Some past video game based movies are laughable today by standards.

@@Oscar97o I personally don't see why people are going so crazy over Mario's voice. It's fine. I for one I think it's fine. Yes, Chris Pratt is my favorite actor, but I don't let that get in the way of my judgment. If you listen closely you can hear an over so slight New York/somewhat Italian accent. The movie comes out in April which I get is pretty close but there's some stuff subject to change (and that can possibly include Mario's voice). I'm not an expert in movie production so take that with a grain of salt. Would I have preferred Charles Martinet? Yes, I definitely would have, but I'm not at all displeased with what we got. So why can't people just chill?
Btw, there were voices for the super Mario characters in the animated series, just saying
