That’s really a great move, especially for fishing( and love) I moved from Kentucky in 2017 to Raleigh NC,and fished Kentucky lake, Cumberland Lake and Dale Hollow and love them, but now I fish all the incredible area lakes, and have been in the FLW family since 2006 . If you ever want to get out on Falls,Jordan,Shearon Harris,Kerr,Gaston or any smaller lakes within 100 miles of Raleigh, PM me

Welcome to Eastern North Carolina, not sure exactly what city you moved to but hope you best wishes. I live in Kinston, mostly fish the Neuse/Trent, Tar/Pamlico & Roanoke rivers. Retired alittle over a year ago, and fish 2 to 3 days weekly, haven't fished any of the NC lakes in the last few years, I stopped tournament fishing years ago, because of my wife's health issues, sadly she passed December of 2022. Spending alot of my time now with my old flame, "bass fishing"! Best Wishes on the remainder of your tournaments this year & into the future! Let's go fishing sometime, I'd gladly accept the opportunity!
From Illinois and learning to fish NC now, finally have dialed it in with some river fishing, White Oak river is pretty good if you want to force yourself to use live scope. water clarity is like chocolate milk. The Neuse river is the same way but they both hold solid fish. those are two smaller rivers to go practice on. Jordan lake is also good by Raleigh, I am slowly getting to the lakes but the rivers are pretty good just gotta find cleaner water or livescope them.

Was stationed at Lejeune for 10 years . Not a single body of water in North Carolina, I have not fished . Heck, even some mud puddles. Not far from Santee Cooper also . I'm not sure where you're at, but there is some good fishing in that area . New Bern wasn't far from me, so I fished the Neuse a lot. Plus, there are a lot of tidal flows, and they all hold bass . Definitely fine-tuned tidal river fishing there . Didn't do that much growing up in Central Florida. It's definitely cheaper there, and money will go further !

First time I met you was at the boat ramp at River Hills Park. You and Brian were shooting a video on the Hillsborough River also you have a video of you and Brian fishing the Tamps bypass i think. Congratulations on your new journey.
Welcome to NC and congratulations on the engagement. My wife and I have been living at lake Gaston NC for the past 15 years. You're welcome at our place anytime we have plenty of boat parking and a place to crash. Extra credit if you like Golden Doodles we only have one and he thinks he's everyone's best friend. I'd say a good lake to practice FFS is Kerr. It's huge with lots of deep water points and several long creeks with floating docks. The lake level is controlled by the ACO. Food shopping for Italians is best done at Harris Teeter. They have good Raviolis "Parla" brand and Broccoli Rabe "Andy Boy" brand. You can get better bread there too along with an olive bar. Starbucks inside for that Ice Coffee. I fish on Gaston in a small club called the Lake Gaston Bassholes. Good luck on Kentucky Lake.

Dude! I’m originally from GA and moved to NC years ago. You’re going to love eastern NC! Frogging and flipping and shallow water is the deal down there! Best fishing in the country is Albemarle and Pamlico sounds! Love to show you around anytime.

The Ablmere sound rivers are hard to beat! I’m from Smithfield va about a hour or so from the chowan river
Have a lot of local trails around in the areas. Tidewater catt trail fishies all the sound rivers. Collins inc trail fishes all around the eastern va area.

I live in Wilmington come on down and we will go offshore. Sutton Lake is a steam plant lake system that has about 7 cooling lakes the water has to go thru before it enter the Cape Fear. Good luck brother.
Was stationed at Lejeune and loved the area fishing . To me it was the best possible place for me to get stationed . Being from Florida, salt water and fresh water are in my blood and had both there . Bass tournaments were hard to find, though, or didn't meet my schedule but found a few . New Bern and Wilmington were close and had good fishing . Just the locals don't like Marines to much lol
@@shanemeeks2660 I bartended downtown for a long time and got to see the "best" of you guys. I get it man, cooped up for weeks on end sometimes but you guys were hell on wheels alot of the time. I met some super cool Marines and over all I don't think anybody disliked you we just got to see the side that had been held down on base for a while and ready to get out and get wild. I know myself and pretty much everyone I know thanks you for your service and appreciates you all on a daily basis my man!! Tight lines brother

Dude, I've been following you for a few years. Look at your subscriber count. I think you might benefit from looking at some successful CZcams pro fisherman if you really want to make it. Scottt Martin, Jacobe Wheeler, Dustin Connel. Yeah, they are winners on tours, but they are all winners in CZcams and Media. I suggest you figure it out with having viewers relate to your real life struggles and successes. Fishing alone is not enough to make it big time

Sorry to hear you think you have to use forward facing to compete, I’ve just got on board your channel because you fish like I do, shallow frogging flipping and jigging, like John Cox and Rick Clunn. I have no interest watch guys fish forward facing, and watch there backs. It’s a shame cause you’re good without it. The big leagues are losing a lot of viewers because of this.👍🥸🙏
