I'm 30 and this Jag was supposed to be my self birthday present, thanks to covid now will be my 31st year old present.
EDIT: My birthday is in 1 month but I just got my full black V6 F-type in the garage. Your video helped me to decide, thank you!
Niceeeee bro
31 with a Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag isn't bad.
I was at a similar age when I got my first 911
@@sonicsabbath I'll enjoy some years the Jaaag but that Cayman gt4 looks stupidly good
@@rabobravo Yeah, I currently have a Cayman S, and the GT4 looks good - but a 3rd porsche in a row? Looking at something different now :)
Lotus Emira looks good though
Same here but at 40 ha haha... Orange V6 F type in the carport. Great review.
Liked the video mostly cause of your casual talking and not yelling like most people do
Facts
Awesome.. i have exactly the same... Apple Watch...
Oh no. Ftype requires a Planet Ocean.
Wkwkw
😂😂😂
Hahaha
I actually like this review! Feels like discussing the car with a friend, straight and no bs!
Who would have thought that Jaguar could pull off such an image change that a brand once associated with old men is now the object of desire by men only just old enough to shave.
Don’t know if this is a jab or a compliment, but I’ll take it 😂
Kind of both. It started as a compliment to Jag but I couldn't finish it without a quip at the end. But Jag transformation is remarkable.
earthstick: I know you meant it as a punt but you may just as well have described Jaguar's evolution better than any car journalist EVER....I am sure Jaguar would smile ear to ear :)
Same thing with mercedes.
Look at all those mercedes from the past and at the AMG GT-R, C63S and A45 now
earthstick Now that i think about it your right. This car is the epitome of that statement. I prefer the coupe version though.
*immediately searches for used F type. wicked video mate great quality
Same here mate. Same here.
Literally me
This is A GREAT review from the perspective of owning it. Thanks for taking the time to post this take. Great approachable style.
The way you putted this together is so amazing, well done!
He could play on the PGA tour he putted so well

I bought my F Type used a year ago and have had excellent experience as well. Great review, thanks.
How is the servicing?
Love this car as well. One of the most beautiful shapes for a sports car and with best sound ever. Congrats to this awesome piece of tech.
Very informative, candid, no nonsense review. Thanks man.
I have had two of these. Both have been incredible. Low mileage cars with huge discount to new. Had a ‘16 S coupe with the six. So beautiful, but, I found the ingress/egress very hard. Now, I purchased a ‘14 V8 S convertible. Wow, the power of this engine is crazy fun. Both have been very reliable and are really such great values. Enjoyed your video!
Brilliant video mate, b-roll really nicely shot and edited. Looking forward to more car content.
Excellent review, and beautifully filmed. My husband is buying the V6S coupe, and upgrading from an XFS, which is also beautiful, and so powerful.
Am completely with you on the touch-screens in cars topic. Good vid.
"This car has around 380 horsepower and I think for everyday driving that is more than enough". Tell that to my 65HP Kia... :D Amazing Car.
Say hello to my 65HP Opel corsa ^,^
so many poor here!
i think 300 is a minimum
it should be ok Michael what model?
i have a gt4 385hp
It’s really a beauty! I like the sport design, though most of us don’t have the money to buy one! It’s nice to see people who are doing well! 🙌🏼
Love my Ftype....its a joy every time I drive it
Great video, nicely filmed, loved your insights and comments, hope you're still enjoying it!
I love how you speced the car, green with the bronze details are absolutely beautiful.
Nice job sir - I've had my 'blacked out' V6s for a month and your summary is spot on. What a car!
Hey, what year model do you have. I'm moving to a coastal city and want to get this. I've seen a great 2013 model! I'm a merc fan and have a GLA45 currently...but it's time for a change
One of the best reviews I have ever seen. Thank you very much!
Phenomenal video quality--perhaps your best video production to date. Wonderfully accomplished!
🙌
What a highly informative and practical review! One commentator appears surprised that Jaguar has ceased to be a “car for old men”. In fact, the brand always had a diverse audience. Sir William Lyons - its founder - realised to be profitable this was vital. In the 1950s and 1960s the XK 120s, 140s,150s, and originally the E Types were largely younger peoples’ cars. The current management has happily realised that. The success of the F type says it all. I look forward to more reviews from Oliur. Thanks for posting.
I’m on the verge of buying a used Jag exactly like yours and this was a very useful, honest and down to earth review. Thanks!
That colour is beautiful. I'm thinking of getting one of these and this is definitely the best spec.
Your car is fabulous mate, I've loved the car ever since that same top gear episode 'it's a hardcore monster for the terminally unhinged' they are now in my price range and i can't wait to go test driving 😍
Really nice review, agree with you regarding Jaguar dual character, it's two cars for the price of one really. Agreed on touchscreens too, fine for certain functions but as you say basic controls need physical buttons for safety. I've got an XE S as I need rear seats but I'd love an F-type one day!
Awesome review. I gotta get one. The snap, crackle and pop is DOPE...
This car is so freaking beautiful omg....
Nice review! Have put 4000 miles on my base V6 coupe since getting it in May. No problems and no expenses other than fuel. Good to hear that you've also had trouble-free enjoyment 👍
waqf Hey just wanted to reach out and see how your experience has been lately? Debating getting one within the year and have heard issues about longevity. Thanks!
Subscribed to your channel today... One of the best reviews... Simple and easy to understand... Keep up the good work 👍🏼
What a lovely choice
Literally the perfect video start sequence. Launching into that tunnel
Lovely car and lovely spec, the only thing I’d want to add are the sport seats. They look the business and are incredibly supportive.
Oooh yes please do more reviews like this one! It's simple and different. Plus, I don't know, there's something soothing about your voice and calmness. 😉
Another great video! You never disappoint me 😃 keep it up!
Love the spec!!! Love the car and completely agree with your views on touchscreens, they’re impressive on a dealer lot but annoying and unsafe to use whilst driving
My '15 F-Type S ships in the next couple days...can't wait!!
Dan Galyen Review? I'm f-type shopping now and so confused about all the choice
Bought mine today. Can’t wait. First jag after a couple of porsches.
Great video. Looking to upgrade from my XFS in a couple of years. Dream car.
Great video and love the Jag. Thanks for sharing.
Nice car man! The sound of it driving is truly amazing.
You, are a great inspiration. Keep living the life.
Bro this video made me rethink my existence, I need this car right now. This is on my top three dream car list.
This colour is stunning!
I like this iteration of the car, those gills especially being seamlessly integrated into the bumper. I will be in the market for a 2016/2017 V6 manual car in a few months, convertible preferred but I'm not totally ruling out a coupe.
Excellent video. Really in depth and covers all points people want to hear about.
Didnt get what year your Jag was tho.
Very concise and informative review. Great job, Mark, Bemidji, MN. USA
Best sounding 6 cylinder you can get today!
I'm a F type Coupe S awd owner and i love this car. I didn't go for the convertible because there was no space in the back.....at all. As a daily driver the coupe is better as you said. I do have the sportseats and i think they're more comfortable. Thanks for this video. Peace from the Netherlands ✌🏻
@@stanvandernat White with black interior
I think i might have the exact same spec, Did you go for the Meridian Surround sound system? The 12 Speakers change everything!
You can fit way more than it seems on the convertible trunk.
@@dovahkiin5655 but still with the Meridian system it's not on the same level as the German competition. But good enough 👍🏻
M B hey I heard there’s many problems with jaguar that is not worth the headache is it true
Good review this! Couldn’t make my mind up between coupe and convertible. Cheers
Love mine... Especially the sound
Have a 3.0 S AWD coupe, just watching the video to enjoy the looks and the sound while away
Oh my.. How sharp is this Tamron lens!! 🔥 You need to make a color grading tutorial Oliur 😅
Would be supercool if you could show how you grade your videos! They always look amazing.
Great review pal, do you still have the jag? If so are you still as pleased 2 years down the road?
Great review. I have never been a Jaguar fan (reliability being one of my biggest reservations with the brand), but fell in love with the F-type from the moment I saw one in a parking lot. I actually parked my car and got out just to get a closer look, as it is an absolutely beautiful design. Once I heard the sound of the exhaust, I was in love.
They are now very reliable.
@@jeffreyb.1657 they aren't terrible. F types are awesome cars anyway
@@aaronrodriguez1410then Porsches and Audis also aren't reliable.
@razzendahcuben ok? It's not entirely true, but a random statement from you lol
@@aaronrodriguez1410 True, we should take your random statements on the internet instead and ignore the actual, easily obtained data showing that maintenance costs for F-Types are the same as many other common sports cars.
I owed a V6S from 2013 to 2017, loved the car, just fantastic, however, what I did not like was how other people treated me while driving it, I had verbal abuse from people on the sidewalk while just sitting in traffic, people would not give me any room on very narrow roads, as they know you would yield, Envy is a horrible thing and sadly there are a lot of people who suffer from it. I loved the sound and I loved the way it drove, now I have a Range Rover Sport instead, as a result all the problems seem to have gone away, especially the narrow road problems.
jeez...where do you live? I only have good comments here in Canada..and people are not rude at all.
Where was this??
I'm guessing you are in Europe. In America, people are awesome about my Porsche cayman s
@@hinduzionkafir that's a different car mate?😕
I have an old XKR -98 and I only get the good treatment from other drivers (and pedestrians). Perhaps they pity me :)
this is really nice review :)
Great video. Looking at a used F Type currently.
What options would you say are crucial?
Hey mate, nice review. I'm wondering if you still keep it at the moment. Is it reliable?
I have a 2015 coupe and love the car. In a world where a BMW looks like a Hyundai, the F-Type stands out as a gorgeous car.
+1 for reliability - especially due to the new engineering team at Jaguar
I absolutly agree. I own a Jaguar F-Peace S and although the engine and the driving experience is just awsome, the media systems of the car is terrible. Also agree in the seats, the feel cheap. But still its my best driving experience so far
How did you black everything out? Did you have it all professionally painted and touched up or did you just plasti dip it yourself? Looks absolutely beautiful
I have the exact same car in the exact same shade and I love it.
My seats are beige though and not black.
That Clarkson episode is the first place I saw it as well.
Really like your eyes, its nice to see your sincerity connection.
Thanks for this, I've had a battle between head, (sensible) and heart, (just go for it). so consequently have been going round and round trying to find something that fits both catagories. Oh and factor in the fact that I go back and forth to Italy a lot. With the price of these very reasonable nowadays I have decided to have one of these and a little economical diesel Alfa.
Happy days...
Very nice Review! Thanks a lot 👍🏽
Man I am SO jealous! I thought the exact same thing -- saw the car when Jeremy drove it on Top Gear and absolutely fell in love. I've been lucky enough to drive it a couple of times, but I don't own one (yet). It is my absolute dream car, I hope I can own one some day!
When I was thinking about buying a new convertible car, I decided that it would not be a Porsche 'cause there are too many of them in my city. I fell in love with the look of the Jag Ftype and of course, I saw the Top Gear movie with Jeremy and it conforted me in my choice.
"I think 380 horse power is enough for every day driving" you don't say haha
I like your voice mate, and excellent car as well!
Looking at buying one atm, this is a good down to earth review of the car :)
Great review... I think f type vs the old V8 vantage, those cars are twins
I was going to get the i8 but I think i will get this now. its cheaper and that sound... wow.
I had a 2014 V6 S - three years of constant issues with it. Spent more time at the dealership than it did in my garage.
Emphasis on "2014"...many reliability issues sorted out by 2016
Owen Nxumalo I’ve now got an MY18 400 Sport and so far it’s had just as many issues...just different ones. Definitely my last JLR product. Build quality doesn’t seem to have improved at all
@@jagbeamer that's really disappointing to hear man, what are the odds of getting the faulty car twice
@@osnn8156 about 90% when it comes to British cars
same experience here. Absolutely love the car when it's working. Have the v6s 2014 for the last 4 months. Coolant issues twice and oxygen sensor issue already
Absolutely beautiful car and love that u got rid of the chrome bits.
Wonderful video, very well done!
That British racing green is an awesome color!
One of my dream cars. Thumbs up.
Excellent review. This car is on my short list. Your review was fair and well done. Unrelated question though, what brand are your sunglasses? They're awesome! Cheers!
They’re actually from specsavers lol. They’re prescription pair.
Go ahead, mate, do more reviews. Just do it your way, be different than the YT bloggers
Oliur, I know you gave this car up, but do you remember what shade of black you used to paint the chrome exterior pieces? Probably going to get this same car myself soon, and yours looked great.
Nice review. I think this will be mine next after XF. About the touch screen thing - you right, but on other hands - driving Jag is always about dring Jag - not giving a shit about little things. Cheers
I am seriously considering getting one. Its between an F type or an M3. My wife prefers the M3 but I love the F type. I've never driven one but I've got a test drive booked in 2 weeks, cant wait.
Loved this video man! Can I ask what you shot on and also the grading is on point!!!
Shot on Sony A7 III. I’ve done a video on it on my channel :)
What is the rage with BMWs? Regardless of the number, they all look alike. Same with the tired old face of the Porsches. The F-Type is the “poor man’s super car.” Awesome looks. Pins you back in the seat and turns heads because so few are on the road and people want to know, “what’s THAT fine car?” Thank you, Jaguar, for producing style, class, power, and value for such an incredible car. I have the 2020 P340, and it’s all the F-Type I need. The balance and handling are so fine, and that little stylish devil moves! Thank you for your review. Very nicely done!
Can I ask how much this car cost or how much it is to maintain cuz eventually I want to get this car for the same reason you’ve bought it. Just for a fun weekend/summer car
Nice review! Getting one in a few months - notice you have unspaced number plates on the car, have you ever been stopped by the police about this? Was thinking of doing the same
Great Review of the car.
Good review . I have the exact same car. I have 55000km on the odometer and only had one issue with the active exhaust system (broken, under warranty.). I love the car but like you said, the infotainment system is horendous. Little disappointment too with the sound system. Not as good as my B&O in my Audi S4. Sports seat are very comfortable, even for long runs. Also, It took me 2 years to find a good driving position, where I could see my speed and RPM. Cabin space in sparse...can't even find a place to put a bottle of water (door pocket too small).
Hey man! Im seriously considering this car! Ill just ask how is the reliability of the V6S?
About 3 months ago I bought the 2018 F Type R.. it’s the V 8 version with 550 hp.. it’s an amazing everyday car .. I drive about 50 miles a day and it’s a great thrill to drive .
I’ve had half a dozen people come up up me and compliment me .
I am so ready to get my FT.
Three years late with a comment! Excellent review. I have the V6 R dynamic 380hp AWD ..completely black. Absolutely love it. Jaguar really did get it right with this one. I was thinking about getting a remap which possibly would take it to 418hp but agree with you now 380 is plenty. Seems that every BMW or Audi driver wants to take you on. I just laugh and say ‘crack on’. Some may have better performance but they look so bland to me. F type has the better looks and heritage.
Love the shades Oli! You have a link for those? Thanks!
How did you feel the boot space was in the convertible? Do you think there would be enough space for a weekend away as a couple?
Jaaaaaaag F-type, 2016-2020 are by far the best sounding 👍🏼
Awesome.. what paint color is that? Looks dope
How much did it cost you to get everything blacked out? I'll be looking to get a second hand one of these soon but sadly it seems that most people bought them with the silver trim and wheels which totally ruins the look of the car in my opinion. Blacked out all the way!
