I’ve never used a monitor light before, but I really enjoyed this review and the way that you showed how all the different lighting options work!

I’ve had no issues with the one I’ve got. Have you reported the issue to the manufacturer?

Hello, we are the BenQ Lighting Department team. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the wireless controller of the ScreenBar Halo. We would like to inquire if you could provide us with detailed information about the issue you are experiencing with the product. For example, is it not working right out of the box, or does it stop working after some time of use? If it's the latter, it's highly likely related to the battery, such as incorrect battery placement causing power depletion. However, if it's the former, you can contact our repair team on the BenQ official website, and they can replace it under warranty. We hope to resolve your issue. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to let us know. Thank you!

@@benq_smartlighting Hi, thanks for writing. My issue with the controller has been persistent since I received the unit. The sensor that toggles front and back light or both at the same time is very bad at sensing when input is occurring, so I end up giving up getting the right configuration. I have tried replacing batteries on it multiple times to no avail. It is possible with a lot of persistence to toggle the lights if you use a cloth and wipe it over until it "hits" the right configuration and you stop in time.

@@AlexPedersen123 Thank you for providing detailed description! We believe your wireless controller may be the version that needs to be awakened. To determine which version it is, you can check if all the functional icons are outlined in white. If only the power button has a white outline, then it's the version that needs to be awakened. We'll also provide you with the operating mechanism for awakening:
The wireless controller enters sleep mode after 5 seconds idle to conserve battery. To activate the wireless controller, please place your hand 2 cm over the sensor icon (which is right below the power icon) on the wireless controller. The power icon in the center of the wireless controller will then light up to indicate that you can start performing operations.
Please note that whenever you need to make an adjustment to the setting of the light, you need to activate the wireless controller first.
Please note that whenever you need to adjust the lighting settings, you'll need to activate the wireless controller first. If the issue persists after activating the wireless controller, or if your wireless controller isn't the version that needs to be awakened, please contact our customer service on the official website for repair assistance.
