The SkyRC MC3000 is an advanced battery charger that is compatible with various sizes and chemistries. It will work with Li-Ion, NiMh, NiCd, NiZn, etc. The charger is also an advanced analyser and will display graphs of current, voltage, capacity, temperature evolution, etc. Last but not least it supports varied programming and function scheduling together with a 30 settings bank memory. - Věda a technologie
I like your video. You present it in a clear monotonous voice (monotonous may sound like an insult, but I mean it as a good thing, it makes you easy to understand and follow, I can go back or skip forward and its consistent, its perfect for presentation). Good video quality, good explanation, easy to follow. All around well done. Thank you, thumbs up!
Wow, thank you a lot! I highly appreciate your feedback also. I do speak monotonous and that is because i'm not a native english speaker and I also never script my reviews.
Monotone... not monotonous. Ughh
Very nice review. The SkyRC chargers are among the best out there, using the Q200 and it is awesome.
Indeed, they make one of he best chargers, they even set a trend with the popular B6 which lead to fakes and cheap copies.
Very detailled review, so useful even 7 years after !
Glad it was helpful! I also still use this regularly and it's working OK today.
maybe the best charger on the market for now :)
Yes it's still one of the best.
Great overview of this charger, thanks
Thank you, I may add that I have sorted out the Bluetooth also, it simply worked ....
still best in 2019 im looking to buy a new version but every one today 2019 are not better this is the best but 100 dollars....
Yes not a lot of choices that match this in performance.
Thanks help me understand my charger. I thought i was doing something wrong but I see I just have bad batteries that barely can hold a charge like yours!
I'm glad that you have found my video useful, consider subscribing as support for me :) Thanks!
I just bought one of these after doing a lot of research. I thought that there would have been a newer product by now that surpassed this but there isn’t .
Yes, they haven't came up with something newer although not much to improve on this one either.
TechTronic9000 with the advances in tech, software, and computers theres a TON that could be improved on. Could be made WAY more user friendly.
Great review, thank you.
Thanks for watching!
What a fantastic video :) ...I have a question: @17m05s, you charge an IMR battery, but you select LiIon as the charge method ...This looks wrong, but you clearly understand what you are doing ...Can you explain this please?
It's still a Li-Ion cell so it's fine doing that.
do you have issues with the plastic holding the spring? This looks like is still the best charger in 2020 but I hear some user has issues with plastic snapping, I really want to get this one but afraid that it will break too fast. Any input will be appreciate it.
My only issue until now is the sliding tabs that bend very easy, i'm afraid that I will snap them eventually. Although I keep using this since my review and it's still doing OK.
I have eneloop 2000 mAh. Which setting should I use with this charger?
It has a special program for eneloop, you can enable it from the menu, but the NiMh one also works fine.
my MC3000 arrived today, firmware ver 1.15 hw ver 2.2 2 fans
I had a problem connecting my Galaxy Note9 running android 10 & could not find any info on how to make it work,
Phone sees charger but asks for pin, there is no pin,
When I start the app I get no bluetooth icon, app does not work,
When I turn location ON on my phone app works ok,
starting app automaticaly turns bluetooth icon on & connects to charger,
I changed charge & discharge current in the app & its refreshing some eneloops right now,
turning location back off on my phone stops the bluetooth connecting & the app does not work,
seems strange to me but its working fine,
I hope this helps anybody having issues with the phone app connecting.
Yes you need to turn on GPS/location on the phone for it to work, it's a weird workaround but solves the connection issues. Thanks for sharing such a detailed description, it will definitely help others.
What is the competition for this unit? Other brand or other chargers with PC interface?
This one is similar, but lacks PC programming: bit.ly/2p2ftCs
Very good review, did you manage to find a solution for the Bluetooth issue?
Yes, it's now working, the issues was a combination of not liking my BT from phone / tablet and the app. On a third tested phone the app and BT worked normally.
TechTronic9000 excellent , thank you for the reply 👍. Now I am looking for a good discount to buy this in Europe.
You can get it from here: goo.gl/FdaVTi it's on flash sale and if you choose "priority line" as shipping method it will be customs free like a regular product from EU.
TechTronic9000 thank you so much 👌
Hey bro why does the charger make a distinction between NiMH and Eneloop batteries in its settings?
Because eneloop although are still NiMh they have different chemistry for the low self discharge thus the charger has a slightly diffrent algorithm.
I have FW firmware version: 1.14, HW hardware version: ⩾2.2, 2 fans. That is, for example, I put on the refresh 4 acc ni-mh the discharge current in my cases is 0.2C, that is, for each slot 0.49 A, and when the temperature rises during the discharge, the fan starts to spin (one, and not both), although during power-on There are self-tests for a few seconds both coolers are spinning. During discharge, do you have both coolers spinning on the SKYRC MC3000? Who has the same problem?
I think mine only has one fan..
In the setup of the charger, try lowering your "cooling fan" temp setting to the lowest one then put the charger under load. The fans should both come on if you generate enough heat.
I'm having problems.. I have updated to the latest firmware. But no matter what i do, i can't get any info or connection to the monitor program. so no using it on the Windows computer?.
Are you having windows 8 or 10 ? Can you try a windows 7 pc ?
Using windows 10. At the moment i don't have a windows 7 available, so the problem is "wrong" version of Windows?
I have the Xtar dragon v4 plus but this Skyrc mc3000 is a lot better in functions and build quality. This also gor power users who are use to in adjusting parameter setting and calibrations not for noob users.
Sadly mc3000 is almost 200dollars in my country which is to expensive for me for a charger.
Anyway good video 👍
When I have bought and reviewed this charger it was only 100$....
Cool but I wouldn't know how to work it
With app version 3.71 it has connected between phone and charger. Also with my samsung tablet.
With app version 3.78 many people have a new problem: App can not find the charger anymore. See comments in play store. - Ok, now I am waiting for a new version. :-/
Mine works ok with the latest app, a workaround to find it is to enable GPS and bluetooth together before opening the app.
@@TechTronic9000
It might be a workaround, but the app is too curious and this must be fixed. The tablet is always in one place. No need for GPS at all. It is nobody's business where the position or someones house is. This is about private data (where I am) and also about data protection. I react very sensitively to this. Companies should respect this if they want to keep their customers. As far as I'm concerned, GPS can be optional, but the app MUST also start / work without GPS! A lot of apps are far too curious.
Any idea how to get the discharge AND charge capacity with this charger for aa nimh and 18650s?
Yes, you need to go into advanced mode, create a new profile for the needed chemistry such as NiMh or Li-Ion, then set up the other parameters such as charge, cycle, discharge and currents, thresholds etc. It's a bit more intuitive to use the BT app.
@@TechTronic9000 Great thanks! I spent a lot of time getting familiar with this amazing charger finally and I would recommend checking out gnu data explorer. It gives detailed information completely graphed out for you on a computer via the usb port. You can save all the data to view at any time which includes: voltage, avg voltage, battery temperature, system temperature, internal resistance, capacity, power, energy , current. www.nongnu.org/dataexplorer/
The bluetooth works fine on my LG V10
Yes, I've seen a lot of people using it with BT, maybe my unit is faulty, when i will have more time i'll try again with some other devices like a tablet.
That's because LG V10 is the best Smartphone created after Nokia 6310 ;)
@@TechTronic9000 The issue in your video use is that you paired the charger with the phone. You don't need to do that. Just turn on BT then start the application and it will find the charger and connect to it. The manual was not good on this point. I kept trying to pair my phone and that didn't work. I stumbled into it working without pairing.
When i have Nicd Akku can i plug fake piece of thing to install 2 cables on pins and charge whole akku pack from cables??
No, it's for charging one cell at a time.
TechTronic9000 thanks, sub n like 4u
U order it from Gear Best???
Yes
I feel that you are french, ^^, i am old student of UTT
No, i'm not french :)
If there isn't any pin mentioned on app or manual then the default passwords usually are 0000 or 1234
for me, none of them works :(
There is no PIN and you don't have to pair the charger with your phone. You do have to allow the app to have access to bluetooth settings (it asks in modern Android OSes) and then just run the app and it will search for and find the charger. It then gives you a prompt and just tap the device it found to use.
Halo brother.. i want to ask if refresh mode its always pause and how to continue?
You can set it up you enter advanced programing and create a new profile so you can set the timer for pause after the charge / discharge cycle.
Thanks bro from Indonesia
Good looking charger but price high I think
Yes, it's very good, the price is around 90$ and it's similar with other analysers.
I'm concerned about the quality, when i see that you press one button and all 4 buttons are moving....
I was thinking the same thing. Was watching a review on the newer version with 2 heat fans etc and saw the same thing.
Well it's been a very long time since i did this review and i'm still using this charger very often, not a single problem with it until now.
Great charger, shitty cells xD
Those were the cells i had at that time to use in my review :) Thanks for watching!
