- The excitement for the Worker Harrier is very real, and it's a solid offering from Worker, but is it tournament ready out of the box?
Unfortunately while filming I managed to hurt myself and had to cut it short, so the video is missing footage I wanted to have in it.

This video has less B roll footage to show off certain things than I was intending, I managed to hurt myself while filming and wasn't able to get everything I wanted to before release, apologies for that!
Clearly you should just make Beret record extra footage for you
Its all good bro 🙏 love the videos , the hobby isn't the same without your videos ❤
Loving this series! Short and sweet, but you still deliver what you set out to. We're loving the Harrier, and we hope to see more Worker blasters improve on this design -- perhaps a successor to the Cheetah 2.0 with the same tooless barrel swap?
One thing to note: we did use the included injection-molded SCAR in our chrono testing, so (all else being equal) it shouldn't be the issue with your performance being lower than expected. - Perry
Thanks, I appreciate that, I've been enjoying your work on videos as well Perry! That is super useful to know that your fps numbers are with the provided scar as well, definitely helps me narrow things down. Certainly hoping we see more tool-less options, maybe with some compatibility between platforms, but will all come down to the community reception.
I've got one of these in the mail heading my way. I'm definitely looking forward to reviewing. Nice video, I appreciate the info and even though you're critical of the blaster, I feel it's coming from a good place and not malicious in any way. Thanks for the review have a good one!
Awesome, I'll be curious to see your review on it, and thank you for the kind words :)
Good to still see you around, Jang.
The Harrier, like many Worker blasters before it, relies on you buying the parts you want or need separately. So "out of the box"? No, most likely. But it's still stupid easy to change out parts to your FPS needs.
Good to be around :) and the extra parts that are already available for the Harrier is a good sign to me, hoping it gets a lot of community support for more parts as well.
Dang, this Worker Harrier seems to have some issues. I think the Dart Zone MK1.2 is gonna be a better buy- thanks for the recommendation! ❤
Just scrap the whole thing, only reasonable option
STOP IT, BERT
GODDAMN you are killing the B-roll game haha. Love this series and I really do think you had a lemon be cause my experience has been great with several of these and in my review I found the performance to be superb and very consistent with the right choice in barrel and spring combos.
Lol, thank you, B-roll is one of my favorite things, bummed the next video won't be quite as good on that end since I tweaked my back and don't want to move the heavy stuff around >_< Entirely possible I have a lemon, definitely glad to hear others haven't had issues!
Thank you for the video! I’m so glad you’re back to making content.
Jang
Thanks for the great review. We appreciate the honest review. Keep up the great work.
I appreciate the support, thanks for watching!
It's good to see you again. Thanks for the review, I will be looking forward to more videos in this series.
It's good to be making videos again, and thanks for the kind words!
Another excellent video. Happy to see you back.
Thank you, happy to be back!
You're not the first person to find issues with the Harrier's catch. Apparently with long term use or after around 2000 shots it'll only catch 50% of the time.
Interesting, that's disappointing to hear but good to know, maybe we'll see an updated version get released, if not I assume the community will design a replacement for it.
This is a little concerning for me as someone who has one pre ordered. My group runs at about 250 fps so this blaster seemed like a good high quality choice given that I don't have a 3D printer. Where else have we heard that the Harrier has catch problems? I haven't seen anything on Reddit at least.
I did see somebody on all the Facebook groups trying to put the Harrier down for these issues.
I brought two harriers, one for plinking around home to keep in great condition and one for the rougher days along with spare components.
After seeing these posts I really wanted to try and make this happen so yesterday and today my club went out for a couple of mornings of games using the 1.6 x 300 and once we finished that I literally sat in my backyard all afternoon almost continuously firing and could not make this happen once.
This would have been thousands of shots which gives you a fantastic workout 😆
There just has to be some lemons out there but it seems to be few and far between thank goodness
Also one thing I would recommend when doing an ungodly amount of firing is to lube the shell edges around the priming block pic rail as it causes so much friction that it started to wear away the plastic of the shell…..I ended up putting a fair amount of lithium grease and it seemed to stop the friction wear on the shell edge
Bit of a mix up there, the guy on FB said after 5000 shots (and an extra 2000 after I think I read somewhere in a reply) within an 8 day period with the strongest springs he had that issue, I've been using mine since January almost strictly using the 1.6x250 without issue.
Big bet bro 10/10 gald to see you back. :)
Thanks, glad to be back :)
I love this series! I have a video coming that I think you'll find extremely helpful. I thought I had a lemon too... then... I found my issue. :) Nice to see you again!
Thank you, I'll have to give the video a watch :)
I know you mentioned something about not liking the return spring and needing to adjust play style. Personally, this in conjuction with the skinny pusher is what makes this setup ideal for tournament play. One of the biggest gaps for a player is the vunerability of a reload. If you are ammo conscious this is actually an opportunity with this blaster instead of a vulnerability. I prime the blaster with the last dart and then swap mags with breech closed. This means that while normally, I would be vulnerable... I can still fire at any moment while reloading. I actually got a player in tournament this way as they tried to move on me while I visibly discarded my mag out of cover During Maryland Mayhem MFT.
Swapping mags while you still have one loaded is a great idea, all for that.
Love your reviews. Do you plan on reviewing the shellington Kirin?
Thank you :) I don't currently have plans for it, but that doesn't mean it won't happen at some point in the future.
a rival mag spring can be used to replace the return spring - it's not as strong but just enough that it holds in the pusher.
That's a super clever idea, I may have to try that!
Great video. Thank you for your opinion. Take care.
Thank you, you too!
Nice review with the critiques.
I’ve seen a couple of people talking about the catch and plunger but I seriously haven’t come accross this.
I purchased two and and really wanted to try and make my blue one fail but I just couldn’t.
This was after a morning of gameplay on the 1.6x300 and literally sitting all afternoon in my backyard continuously firing…..well almost, the arms needed a rest every now and then 😆 but I just couldn’t get it to happen.
I also need a reason to drop in all the consumables I brought to go along with it for this purpose 😆
I’d say there’s a few lemons in the batch.
Thanks for the insight! That's a relief to hear it doesn't look like a huge design issue. I am personally looking to use one of the middle length barrels with the 250 spring with my group to hit the 250 fps sweet spot with the scar.
What critiques did people have of the plunger and what other real notable reliability critiques have you heard? At least the internals look real easy to replace if need be, I also can't imagine Worker won't sell replacement delrin parts for the plunger rod and catch if people need them.
I'm glad the ones you've got haven't had any issues, I hope it's just a few lemons here and there and the issues get resolved for future runs!
@@devackroyd more than welcome mate. I wanted to get straight on to mine to put it through rigorous testing to see if I could replicate it when I seen a person in all the Nerf groups posting the issues about his.
If I was any good at making videos and filming myself I would love to do a video for the next group of testings.
There’s 6 other gentleman within our club that also run Harriers so we want to move on to testing there’s in the coming weeks which should give it a really good base line indicator of it’s a wide spread issue or not.
But with confidence I can say mine have no issues at all and one has been getting a beating.
@@Jangular I really hope so also.
The Harrier has so much potential and I’m really looking forward to seeing what the community designs with additional components and accessories in the years to come.
There’s 6x other gentleman within our club who also own Harriers so we want to get a good base line to see if it’s a wide spread issue or not…..they just don’t want to go as hard as we’ve been putting my blue Harrier through sadly 😆
Yo Yo, Jangular Video!!! Yay!
@@Jangular I am good :) so healthy issue perviously, better now :)
Your video is critical, but when the thing is two hundred bucks after tax, you should be critical of it. I'm a huge fan of the Harrier, but there's some design elements, like the gap in the trigger guard that just leave me like "....why??"
That gap in the trigger guard is definitely confusing lol
Ok thanks for the honest info. I’m going to stick with my Omega kit longshot 😂
Another kit that has threaded barrels lol, I really liked the Omega Kit
Oooo a white one.
Sadly it's not quite as bright as I would've liked, would definitely get the blue if given the option again.
