The Highlands Sessions is great,. I enjoy listening and watching. Together with the TransAlantic Sessions it makes great Celtic music.

I've enjoyed Celtic music for many decades. My personal conviction is that this Highland Session series represents that music in the most perfectly beautiful and tasteful form imaginable. The songs are wonderful. The singers are incomparable. The musicians couldn't be better. The setting is magical. This series is astonishing partly because it is so simple, unadorned and authentic.

Excellent group! If Mary Black ever leaves this earth, we may as well end it all, for it will be the end of the best. Long live them all and may they continue making music like this.

Not sure if you will see my reply, Mikhail, but thanks so much for posting these for the entire series. I had made myself a sheet showing the order of the songs and the primary and other performers of each, but this annotation about the starting times is so helpful. I return to this series repeatedly to listen to particular songs and tunes, and am now sharing it with others who I hope will love the series as much as I do.

Scots are descended from the Picts and Gaels, who were Celtic. In the south, the Anglo Saxon strain is prevalent. So, the answer is "yes" and "no" as to the Celtic question.

Methinks this is all about music,Chris. There are other ytube programs/presentations devoted to civilisations and their origins. You are just trolling here.
Personally, I am surprised that someone with a name like yours could be so small minded and mean spirited.

Will Leahy - you said ""Celtic" is something of a catch all term...." Sadly you also added a childish profanity which had to be reported.
