    For cockpits i would recommend if youre using entry level wheels to build a cockpit yourself out of wood with car seat because theyre usually way cheaper

    Just dont have ocd like me or you will overthink how everything feels and looks haha. Like man its been rough any change in my wheel or base feel and i overthink it. When in reality ffb has incomsistencies on all games and wheelbases so its just normal for things to not feel identical at all times.

    Going up to aluminum chassis at the higher end? Aluminum chassis can be cheaper than most entry level rigs

    Is the thrustmaster TX Racing Wheel Leather Edition bundle a good first setup?

      If youre on pc, i recommend the t300rs gt as its basically the same as TX but with a 1080 degree rotation compared to the 900 degree of the TX

    how much is a good direct drive setup? I just bought a g29 and am enjoying it but I feel like I should have just jumped in with a direct drive

    • @Bruce_Mazi
      @Bruce_Mazi Před měsícem

      Dude its not really worth the jump like that, I started with direct drive cause I had access to it but got a g29 for my own setup and the jump isn't worth it relative to your own skill. Its not like a Fightstick/arcade stick where you its best to start of with the best parts from the get go rather its closer to photography were your rig should grow with you and your needs

    Another video recommending expensive equipment for a specialised hobby. Just get a g29 or play on pad to see if you genuinely enjoy it. Sim racing is like photography/videography you shouldn't jump into the deep end just because... you should start out with what you have and if you enjoy it then upgrade slowly, it took me 7 years to get a G29 and I have access to direct drive where I work and its not worth its asking price unless your already deep into it. Videos like this that off rip recommend direct drive miss the point that DD is for enthusists who would be able to utilise the added benefits from the system rather than it being a metric for quality or authenticity.
    Cockpits and screen setups are a commitment that is a big ask from someone just stating off, its as ridiculous as saying to a beginner photographer you should have backdrops and or a home studio if you want to get into the hobby/craft. Those things are all big commitments in space and once they are setup they are semi permanent fixtures in a home/apartment unless you want that person to spend 30minutes setting up and packing down the thing for a hobby they don't even know if they enjoy yet 💀

    Is the tmx pro good?

    • @ukasharajpoot2078
      @ukasharajpoot2078 Před měsícem

      its a good first wheel, belt system makes it more superior than something like a logitech wheel, has good quality, started with the tmx pro and within a month upgrading to a moza r9 so i definitly recommend,you can also get used for around $60 to around 100

    Fanatec GT DD+ Pro, Gran Turismo 7 PlayStation 5 is the best quality sim racing. PC is for folks who spend more time being tweakers than getting time on course.

    • @Bruce_Mazi
      @Bruce_Mazi Před měsícem

      Or people just play on PC because that's what they have lol random callsign and a bunch of other OGs in the community put it best "use what you have to start off"

    • @herlegz6969
      @herlegz6969 Před měsícem +1

      @@Bruce_Mazi totes agree use what you have! I think the community owes it to folks to help have fun and race (cleanly and respectably), not over hyper fixate on parts that are nowhere as important as properly setting the nut behind the wheel.
